KBS 2TV's new Monday-Tuesday drama My Lovely Boxer (written by Kim Min Joo, directed by Choi Sang Yeol and Hong Eun Mi) is based on the novel "My Lovely Boxer" by Choo Jong Nam, which won the 2nd Kyobo Story Contest. The drama follows the story of genius boxer Lee Gwon Sook and the cold-blooded agent Kim Tae Young as they navigate a life-altering journey to escape match-fixing.

Lee Sang Yeob transforms into Kim Tae Young, the head of S&P Sports Agency in the drama. Kim Tae Young is a figure who will stop at nothing for the sake of his athletes' victory and financial gain. To save the top-tier pitcher Kim Hee Won (played by Choi Jae Woong), who was closer than a brother, he dives into the world of match-fixing, facing a life-threatening crisis from the first episode.

In the stills released today, Kim Tae Young, a self-proclaimed top agent in the industry and top-tier pitcher Hee Won, intensely locks eyes, inciting curiosity among viewers.

Tae Young rushes to the stadium with news that Hee Won has been approached for match-fixing. His meaningful expression as he watches the game hints that something serious has happened to Hee Won.

In another still, Tae Young and Hee Won stare each other down in a chilly atmosphere, engaged in a tense standoff. On the verge of an explosion, Tae Young's bloodshot eyes reveal a sense of guilt and anger for not preventing Hee Won's misfortune. On the other hand, Hee Won, despite Tae Young's persuasion, remains unmoved, while his cool gaze raises tension among those watching. The story behind the intense confrontation between Tae Young and Hee Won, who were closer than brothers, and the reason Hee Won, who only knew baseball, became involved in match-fixing arouses curiosity.

The production team of My Lovely Boxer stated, "Episodes 1 and 2 will unfold the desperate struggle of Agent Tae Young to rescue Hee Won involved in 'match-fixing.' Lee Sang Yeob and Choi Jae Woong have depicted the intensifying emotions of the two characters with delicate expressions. We hope you look forward to the passionate performances of these two actors who left the set staff breathless."

KBS 2TV's new Monday-Tuesday drama My Lovely Boxer will premiere on August 21st at 9:45 PM KST.
