Lee Joong Ok joins Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young in a new crime romance K-drama
Nam Yoon Su is leading another drama this year!
The actor has been confirmed as the main lead of the upcoming webtoon-based drama "The Borrowed Body." It was officially announced on February 9th.
"The Borrowed Body" is a fantasy, mystery, romance drama about Sang Yoo, Da Rim, and Ho Young. Da Rim was dumped after revealing her feelings to Ho Young and by accident, she switches bodies with Sang Yoo. The drama will depict its story from the popular Kakao Page webtoon of the same name. The webtoon has over 380,000 cumulative readers and has a big fandom.
Aside from the fantasy element of switching bodies, the series will also feature the behavior and emotions of coming-of-age youth.
"The Borrowed Body" will be produced by Studio 329. They also worked on the Netflix series "Extracurricular" which portrayed the social problems of teenagers.
Nam Yoon Soo will play the role of Lee Sang Yoo. He is caught up in an incident wherein he switches bodies with his longtime friend and crush.
The actor shared his thoughts on starring in "The Borrowed Body" and stated, "I am excited to be the main lead of the webtoon-based drama which already has a large fandom." He also promised to do his best and show the growth of Lee Sang Yoo.
"The Borrowed Body" will exclusively air on Daum KakaoTV with a total of 15 episodes that are 20 minutes each. The filming will start in the first half of 2022.
Nam Yoon Su last starred in the 2021 drama "The King's Affection." For this year, he will be the main lead for the upcoming series "Today's Webtoon." He will also participate in the movie "Soul Mate."
