NU'EST JR will finally debut as an actor in Korea!

On April 9, media outlets reported that the NU'EST leader will be part of the upcoming rom-com music drama written by Yoo So Won titled "I'll Be Your Night".

His agency Pledis Entertainment revealed, "JR is confirmed as part of the cast of the upcoming drama. Please send your love and support as JR will take on a new challenge with this drama."

"I'll Be Your Night" will narrate the story of a fake female doctor who will live in the same house/dormitory of a top idol band named LUNA. The doctor will pretend to cure one of the band members' issues with sleepwalking. Because of this, the doctor will move in the dormitory of her favorite kpop group. JR will be playing the role of Lee Shin, the bassist of the idol group.

JR debuted in 2012 through the five member k-pop group NU'EST produced by Pledis Entertainment. His group had a reversal and rose to fame after appearing in the survival program Produce 101 Season 2. Since then, JR and his group have been active in the music and entertainment scene. "I'll Be Your Night" will be JR's first ever acting gig in Korea. His first ever acting role was in the 2016's Japanese movie "Their Distance"  alongside fellow NU'EST members Ren and Hwang Min Hyun. His group NU'EST will also return with their second full length album this coming April 19.

"I'll Be Your Night" will start filming this coming May. The drama is scheduled to air in the second half of 2021.
