TWICE's Kim Da Hyun confirmed to make her acting debut!
NU'EST's Hwang Min Hyun is confirmed to be the next male lead of Kim So Hyun.
On November 28th, Hwang Min Hyun's agency Pledis Entertainment announced that Hwang Min Hyun is officially confirmed to lead the upcoming mystery romance k-drama "Useless Lies."
Hwang Min Hyun will be working alongside the confirmed female lead, Kim So Hyun.
"Useless Lies" will revolve around the romance between a woman who cannot trust a person because of her special skills of hearing the lies of people and a famous music producer turned murder suspect that no one believes in.
Hwang Min Hyun will play the role of Kim Do Ha, a famous composer, and producer in Korea who decided to live quietly and hidden after being suspected of murdering someone in the past. After falling in love with Kim So Hyun's character named Mok Sol Hee, the woman next door, he will begin to come out of his comfort zone again.
"Useless Lies" will premiere in 2023. It will premiere on tvN but there is no official broadcast date yet. The series will have a total of 16 episodes.
Before Hwang Min Hyun joins "Useless Lies," he will first appear in the second season of "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" which will premiere on December 10. He will continue to work with Lee Jae Wook, Go Yoon Jung, Shin Seung Ho, Yoo Joon Sang, Oh Na Ra, and more.
"Useless Lies" will be the second time Hwang Min Hyun to be the main lead. He made his debut in a leading role in the 2020 K-drama "Live On."
According to reports, Hwang Min Hyun will also make his official debut as a solo artist in 2023. His original group NU'EST disbanded in March of this year. Currently, Hwang Min Hyun focuses his career on both acting and his solo singing career.
