Ok Ja Yeon will reportedly be added to the cast of the new tvN series "Umbrella."

According to the media outlet Sports Seoul on July 13th Ok Ja Yeon will join Kim Hye Soo's upcoming drama "Umbrella." 

"Umbrella" is one of the new dramas on tvN. It will be part of their Saturday and Sunday drama timeslot. The series will be led by Kim Hye Soo, Moon Sang Min, Choi Won Young, Seo Yi Sook, and Park Joon Myun

The series will be directed by Kim Hyung Shik and Park Bara. 

"Umbrella" will depict the happenings of the central war. It will showcase the conflicts and struggles within the palace. They aim to make the trouble maker princes into proper crown princes. These princes are the headache of the royal family.

There are no details yet on the character offered to Ok Ja Yeon. 

"Umbrella" will reportedly air this October. The series will have a total of 16 episodes which will exclusively air on tvN.

If Ok Ja Yeon confirms her casting, this will be her second upcoming drama this year. Before she joins "Umbrella," she will first take part in the soon-to-air series "Big Mouth" led by Lee Jong Suk, Girls Generation's Im Yoon Ah, Yang Kyung Won, Kim Joo Heon, and Kwak Dong Yeon

Ok Ja Yeon made her name known after showcasing great portrayals of her unique characters in "Mine," "The Uncanny Counter," and "The Veil." 

The actress made her acting debut in 2016. She was included in the dramas "Two Cops," "Bad Guys: City of Evil," "Wok of Love," and "Different Dreams."

Ok Ja Yeon also participated in the hit films "The Age of Shadows," "Burning," "The Great Battle," "Ashfall," and more.
