GOT7's Park Jin Young will reportedly join the upcoming drama "Yumi's Cells" starring Kim Go Eun
Media outlet Sports Chosun reported on April 20 that GOT7 member Park Jin Young will be part of the cast of "Yumi's Cells" as Yoo Ba Bi, Yumi's second boyfriend.
Kim Go Eun is already confirmed to star in the said drama. Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Yoo Bi, and Park Ji Hyun are all reviewing the casting offer for "Yumi's Cells.” SHINee's Choi Min Ho will also reportedly make a special appearance in the said drama.
"Yumi's Cells" will depict the story from the popular web toon with the same name. It will showcase the life of an ordinary office employee named Yu Mi. Yu Mi has cells in her brain that is designates her emotions like love, rationality, violence and more. The tiny cells in her brain does the work for her.
The upcoming drama will be directed by Lee Sang Yeob ( "A Piece of Your Mind,” "Familiar Wife,” "Shopping King Louie" director). The script will be written by “Memories of the Alhambra” writer Song Jae Jung, “Find Me in Your Memory” writer Kim Yoon Joo, and rookie writer Kim Kyung Ran.
Airing date of tvN's "Yumi's Cells" is not yet confirmed.
Park Jin Young started his acting career in 2012's "Dream High 2.” Aside from being a member of JJ Project and GOT7, he also continuously promoted as an actor. After his contract expired with JYP Entertainment, he signed under BH Entertainment. Currently, he's focusing on his acting career and his group GOT7.
Aside from "Yumi's Cells,” Park Jin Young will be part of the upcoming drama "The Devil Judge" with Ji Sung and Kim Min Jung.
