The TVING original series Cold Blooded Intern released its main trailer on July 27th.
Cold Blooded Intern tells the story of Go Hae Ra (Ra Mi Ran), a woman in her 40s trying to get a corporate job after a 7-year hiatus. After considerable struggle, she finally lands the position of intern at a company where her former colleague Choi Ji Won (Uhm Ji Won) works as the director of the product planning team. But the job comes with a catch. Hae Ra must agree to the secret and cruel proposal set forth by Ji Won.
Go Hae Ra's journey has been an obstacle-laden marked by repeated failures in her attempts to get back into the workforce after seven years. Undeterred, she goes all out, even joining as an intern. And during her job interview, she unexpectedly comes face to face with Choi Ji Won, who used to be her colleague in the past. Back then, Go Hae Ra was a formidable "workaholic" MD, who used to even reprimand her team members.
Choi Ji Won recalls this and discreetly proposes a plan to Go Hae Ra. She proposes her to induce working mothers who are about to take a leave of absence to retire. She also offers a tempting prize, "If you succeed, I'll help you regain your former managerial position".
Despite her pride taking a hit at the prospect of being an intern again, and her concerns about Ji Won's mission, Go Hae Ra accepts the proposition, firmly resolved to prove herself in her career and rediscover her identity in the corporate world.
The journey to her dreams and commencing her intern life is anything but smooth for Go Hae Ra. She is burdened with a multitude of menial tasks, and her once-flawless job performance is now marred by errors due to her 7-year hiatus. The absence has left its mark on her accumulated experience. Yet, giving up is not an option for Go Hae Ra. She perseveres, determined to survive in the merciless corporate world. The burning question is whether Go Hae Ra can conquer her challenges as an intern, navigate Ji Won's mission successfully, and regain the coveted managerial position she has been longing for.
