SF9's Rowoon will reportedly lead a second K-drama for the year.
According to several industry insiders on January 19, Rowoon will lead the upcoming historical K-drama "Sending Me to You." The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of the "Sell Your Haunted House" writer. It was also revealed that the production is actively working on the casting.
Rowoon's agency FNC Entertainment gave their statement regarding the news through the media outlet Dispatch. A representative from the agency stated, "Rowoon has been offered to lead the upcoming K-drama 'Sending Me To You' and he is currently reviewing it."
"Sending Me to You" will depict a wedding project of a maid and a miner that will be held by Cheongsangbu and Cheongsangbuma during the Joseon Dynasty.
Rowoon got the offer to play the role of Shin Jeong Woo. When he was seventeen, he was supposed to marry the princess. But because of an incident, he appealed to invalidate his marriage to the princess. With this, he enters the matchmaking business wherein he has to marry one of the maidens.
There are no details yet on the broadcast channel and release date of "Sending Me to You."
Early this year, Rowoon returned to being an idol and participated in the 12th mini-album of his idol group SF9.
He will also star in the upcoming K-drama "Destined With You" with Jo Bo Ah, Ha Joon, Girls Day's Yura, Hyun Bong Shik, and Park Kyung Hye.
Rowoon began his acting career in 2016. He has appeared in several K-dramas such as "Click Your Heart," "School 2017," "About Time," "Where Stars Land," "Extraordinary You," "Find Me in Your Memory," "Was It Love?," "She Would Never Know," "The King's Affection," "Tomorrow," and more.
