Stranger's spinoff K-drama Dong Jae, the Good or the Bastard dropped a teaser, featuring Lee Joon Hyuk.

The upcoming TVING original series Dong Jae, the Good or the Bastard tells the story of prosecutor Seo Dong Jae, who wants to move on from his dark past as a sponsor prosecutor and gain recognition in the present. The series promises exciting tension as Seo Dong Jae engages in a relentless mud-slinging battle with Nam Wan Seong (Park Sung Woong), the CEO of Lee Hong Construction, who is determined to bring up past mistakes Dong Jae wants to forget.

Fans of Stranger are particularly excited to see that the character Seo Dong Jae from the original K-drama is now the main protagonist.

What's more, expectations are even higher with writer Lee Soo Yeon, who penned seasons 1 and 2 of Stranger, participating as a creator. Director Park Geon Ho will helm the project, while writers Hwang Ha Jung and Kim Sang Won will write the script.

With excitement and anticipation building, the teaser shows Seo Dong Jae, who at times is good, at other times bad, but always impossible to hate.

"The veteran prosecutor returns from hell," declares the teaser, as Seo Dong Jae confidently returns. However, when he fails yet again to achieve his long-desired promotion to chief, viewers are reminded of his still-pitiful life as a prosecutor. The scene where he vents his anger in the elevator, only to quickly switch back to a nonchalant expression, showcases his sly and humorous demeanor.

Despite his creative flattery, like claiming, "Even if the chief's bowling ball is rolled backward, it'll still be a strike," and his efforts to prove his loyalty, Seo Dong Jae is only handed insignificant cases. Adding to his frustration is Nam Wan Seong, the CEO of Lee Hong Construction, stirring up the past he wishes to forget, and the snide remarks of a junior prosecutor, always ready to stab him in the back.

On top of that, someone secretly requesting to "kill Seo Dong Jae" hints at his tumultuous road ahead.

Seo Dong Jae saying, "So this is what it feels like to become the main character," sparks curiosity about whether he has truly changed for the better or if he will revert to his old ways.

Dong Jae, the Good or the Bastard will be released on October 10. The K-drama will be available to stream on Paramount+. Watch the teaser here
