Jeon Jong Seo receives offer to star in the upcoming K-drama "Genie House"
Uhm Hyun Kyung will possibly star in a new K-dram after giving birth.
On January 26, media outlets reported that Uhm Hyun Kyung will be leading the upcoming MBC K-drama Brave Yong Soo Jung. According to reports, she will be working with actor Seo Joon Young in the upcoming K-drama.
Uhm Hyun Kyung's agency Yeojin Entertainment responded to the reports. According to them, "Uhm Hyun Kyung received the proposal to star in the upcoming series Brave Yong Soo Jung and she is positively reviewing it.
Brave Yong Soo Jung is a romance revenge K-drama and it will premiere on MBC. The K-drama will revolve around Yong Soo Jung, a woman who aims to become a successful businesswoman, and Yeo Eui Joo, a terminally ill person who considers Yong Soo Jung as his future sister-in-law.
Uhm Hyun Kyung got the offer to portray the role of Yoo Soo Jung who aims to be like Im Sang Ok from Joseon Dynasty. She aims to be like the great person who believes that business is all about winning people's hearts rather than making money out of it.
Seo Joon Young on the other hand got the offer to star as Yeo Eui Joo who is having a hard time protecting the one he values most after discovering a secret about his family.
Aside from Uhm Hyun Kyung and Seo Joon Young, actors Lee Seung Yeon, Ji Soo Won, and Park Chul Min are also joining the upcoming K-drama.
If Uhm Hyun Kyung confirms her casting, this will be her first project since 2021. This will also be her first project after giving birth.
Uhm Hyun Kyung confirmed last year that she is currently dating actor Cha Seo Won and they are planning to get married after he finishes his military duties. They also revealed that they were expecting a child. Uhm Hyun Kyung gave birth in October of last year.
The actress was last seen in the 2021 K-drama Second Husband.
Uhm Hyun Kyung is known for being part of the K-dramas A Man in a Veil, Miss Lee, Hide and Seek, Defendant, Good Doctor, and more.
