Upcoming drama "Today's Webtoon" confirmed to air this July!

"Today's Webtoon" will officially premiere on SBS in July.

On May 10th it was officially confirmed that the upcoming drama starring Kim Se Jeong, Nam Yoon Su, and Choi Daniel, will start airing and will meet viewers on July 29th. It will be part of the Friday and Saturday drama timeslot of SBS.

"Today's Webtoon" is the Korean version of the Japanese series titled "Juhan Shuttai!" (Sleepeeer Hit!). It will be about a woman who ventured into a new career. It will tell the happenings and struggles of the new employee and her colleagues in the webtoon editorial department.

The series will be directed by Jo Soo Won ("Pinocchio" and "I Hear Your Voice") and written by Cho Ye Rang and Lee Hae Eun.

Kim Se Jeong will play the role of On Ma Eum, a new employee in the editorial department. She was picked despite the high competition rates of the company. She was a former member of the national judo team. Because of a serious injury, she gave up her dream of becoming an Olympic gold medalist. She then decided to pursue webtoon because that gave her comfort while she was still a player.

Nam Yoon Su will play the role of Goo Jun Yeong, a new employee at the webtoon editorial department who has a 150 IQ and came from an elite family. He is having a hard time adjusting as he got assigned to a new webtoon service department.

Choi Daniel on the other hand will play the role of Seok Ji Hyung, the deputy editor of the webtoon department. He is a reliable mentor and doesn't stop himself from stating facts when needed.

"Today's Webtoon" will air its first episode on July 29th, Friday. It will replace the upcoming drama "Why Her?"

The production team of the drama shared, "We already had our script reading and we also started to film the scenes. The main cast such as Kim Se Jeong, Nam Yoon Su, and Choi Daniel is doing well in portraying the characters. They showcased great acting and sincerity in their roles. Their work chemistry is also great. The series will premiere on July 29th and it will convey the reality of young people who are currently facing reality and pursuing their dreams. This will also showcase the support to office workers who always do their best in their respective positions."
