Upcoming medical K-drama Doctor Slump announces its official main cast!
On March 14, JTBC confirmed that Park Shin Hye, Park Hyung Sik, Yoon Park, and Gong Sung Ha will be working together for the romance medical K-drama Doctor Slump.
Doctor Slump will follow the story of two people who entered into a burnout phase while pursuing their careers. They were rivals in the past and now they meet again when they are both in the darkest period of their life. The two will go from hating each other to becoming each other's strength.
The upcoming K-drama will be a collaboration between director Oh Hyun Jong (Find Me in Your Memory and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo) and screenwriter Baek Sun Woo (My Roommate Is a Gumiho and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim).
Reportedly, Doctor Slump will begins its broadcast in the second half of 2023 and will exclusively air on JTBC.
Park Shin Hye will portray the role of Nam Ha Neul, an anesthesiologist with burnout syndrome who since birth, has been recognized as a genius. Throughout her youth, all she did was study. One day, she realizes what happened to her life and longed for change.
The actress shared her thoughts about the upcoming drama,
"In a person's lifetime, it seems like one can experience a slump. I always think about ways to overcome that moment and live a healthy life. We will try our best to give comfort to many people who are tired of life through this drama."
Park Hyung Sik will bring life to the character of Yeo Jeong Woo, a plastic surgeon who is experiencing the worst slump of his life. He went to the best medical school in South Korea and he was always on top.
The idol actor shared,
"I'm nervous yet excited because it's been a while since I've worked on a romance-comedy drama. I'm happy and already looking forward to reuniting with Park Shin Hye after a long time."
