Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
WJSN's Bona will reportedly be the female lead of the upcoming K-drama Pyramid Game (working title).
Media outlets shared on March 23 that Bona was offered to star in the webtoon-based K-drama Pyramid Game. This will be her possible next project for the year.
Bona's agency King Kong by Starship gave their side regarding the casting news. According to the agency, "It is true that Bona received an offer to lead Pyramid Game. Bona is currently reviewing the offer and nothing has been decided yet."
Pyramid Game will base its story on the popular webtoon of the same name. It will be a thriller genre and will showcase the happenings in a school wherein students are graded through the popularity vote. If the student gets an F, they will be the next target as the victim of school violence.
Bona got the offer to play the role of Sung Su Ji. She will be the victim of bullying in a school that prioritizes popularity,
There are no official details yet on when and where that drama will premiere.
Before Bona stars in the thriller K-drama, she will first lead the soon-to-air historical MBC series Joseon Attorney: A Morality. The new K-drama will air starting on March 31 and Bona will be working alongside Woo Do Hwan, Cha Hak Yeon, Chun Ho Jin, Song Geon Hee, and Choi Hyun Jin.
Bona made her debut in the industry in 2016 through the K-pop girl group WJSN. It was recently revealed that she renewed her contract with Starship Entertainment alongside her group members. Bona will be active in both idol and acting activities.
The WJSN member began her acting career in 2017. Since then she has starred in several K-dramas such as Chicago Typewriter, Hit the Top, Girls' Generation 1979, Radio Romance, Your House Helper Homemade Love Story, and more.
Last year, Bona was praised for her acting skills and chemistry with all the casts in the hit K-drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One.
