Consort Xian from the Hoifa Nara Clan was one of the senior imperial concubines of Emperor Qianlong. Brought up by her father, Hoifa Nara Narbu, to value righteousness, principles and her identity, Consort Xian strictly resisted forming any alliances with any of the other imperial concubines despite being invited and courted to join them.
