Han Gyu Rim

As a child, Han Gyu Rim was nicknamed "Captain Han," inspired by the film Mr. Hong, whose full title roughly meant 'Whenever Something Happens to Someone, Mr. Hong Always Appears.' The nickname suited her perfectly. Whenever someone was going through a difficult or heartbreaking time, she would drop everything to help make things a little easier, and when something good happened, she celebrated it as if it were her own. She's nosy in the best way, easily swayed by others, and wears her heart on her sleeve, unable to hide her emotions.

She grew up comfortably thanks to her father, who owned a furniture factory. But after his divorce, remarriage, and the betrayal of her stepmother, the family lost everything. Forced to give up her dream of going to university, Gyu Rim devoted herself to supporting her younger siblings, spending every waking hour working just to keep the family afloat.

At some point, she came to believe that love was a luxury. She had neither the time, the money, nor the emotional space for romance. But then, someone unexpectedly came into her life and made her heart race again, shaking the resolve she thought would never change.
