A recently widowed young woman from the Confucian Joseon era time-travels to the year 2023.
On the first night of her marriage, her husband vomits blood and drops dead in front of her. Shortly afterwards, she comes face to face with Kang Tae Ha, a man from "New Joseon" who not only shares the same name but also the same face. As if that weren't enough, she ends up in a contractual marriage with him. Amidst the chaos of trying to find a way back to Joseon, everything begins to change little by little as she starts to feel subtle emotions toward Kang Tae Ha, who initially seemed nothing more than a swindler from "New Joseon."
