while i understand your pov, i think that swingg brings up a good point that this is a military posting and it appears that no doctor, female or male, wants to work on that island to begin with, which is why they're sending doctor soldiers there. soldiers will of course happen to be mostly men, as very little women do enlist in the military, left alone female doctors.
now for the nurses, it's true that there could've been a male nurse. the only reason i could think of that would justify them all being women is that nursing is still a highly woman-dominated profession. statistically speaking, in an isolated little village on an island, it kinda makes sense that nurses would most likely be women.
on a brighter side, in the latest episode (ep 4), we were introduced to a new character: a female doctor who comes from the mainland and is the director of public health care services,
A quick Google says less than 30% of doctors in Korea are women and less than 20% of nurses are men (grain of salt for this being a very quick search). Coupled with the fact that this office is specifically staffed by doctors completing their military service (which is mandatory for men only) the gender division makes sense within the context of the drama.
