QueenSpringDay:

Hi! I've mentioned this a few pages back but maybe because it's hidden in spoiler not many people saw that. Anyway this is kinda out of topic but, I suppose it's somewhat relevant to fellow novel readers who might be interested. So recently I just finished reading another novel by this same author, 'Love of the Divine Tree', and I think it really has similar vibes. Amnesia, morally grey characters, with similar type of humor, also both main leads are similarly thirsty to each other (though definitely not as spicy as this lol). It's xianxia though, so it contains a lot of period fantasy elements like immortality or demonic cultivation etc, but still totally worth checking out!

(Bonus fact is that the drama version is already in the making and probably going to be aired by the end of this year, let's hope that one isn't going to be messed up just like this one)

I finally got around to reading your recommendation. I'm 50 chapters in, and I love it. Which means, I'll be avoiding the adaptation like the plague. lol

Right? Though it has some inconsistencies throughout the plots, but i think it was still a fun read.

In general, there are some elements of xianxia dramas that i don't really like; subpar cgi, illogical action scenes, overused plots, etc; but i think i'll probably check the first few episodes just to see how it looks. Also, call me shallow but I'm not immune to pretty immortals in white hairs sooo, at least there's that XD

It's a fun read. The Ranran character is very well done. I'm enjoying her journey. Speaking of Xianxia, have you checked out The Blossoming Love? The drama is pretty good so far. The novel is spicy.

This is getting even further from topic so i'm going to hide it in spoiler.

I just started this yesterday cause i'm waiting until there's enough episodes to watch without having to wait for the aggravating one-ep-per-day updates. Up to ep 5, though not particularly stellar, it's also good enough to make me want to watch more (just want to point out that a bao is the cutest kid in the history of cdramas i've watched so far). I didn't read the book (didn't even know that it exists tbh) and went in with zero expectations and i think that's what makes me tolerates this better. We'll see how the rest of the episodes pans out.

It gets better. The emotional moments will hit hard. Anyways, enjoy. Let me know if you've found anything like "Hidden Charm" lol
