This is right after an old servant told DZ about SM's father's mistress. 

Dou Zhao sighed softly and nodded. “So many years have passed, and that young lady has passed away. It no longer concerns us directly. But considering your grandmother was pregnant with you at the time, her feelings must have been quite complicated. I thought you should know about the difficulties she faced…”

Perhaps subconsciously, Dou Zhao believed that the more distant Song Mo’s feelings toward Song Yichun became, the safer he would be in future confrontations with his father. This might be why she chose to share this information with him.

Yes, it's a bad translation. They were referring to SM's mother.

The drama has more sad scenes bcos of the poison issue. The novel is more lighthearted. A LOT of sexy time bcos Song Mo is kinda lustful 😅 Which is why they have 2 kids in just 3 years 👍🏻

Song Mo is really close to Dou family and regards them as his own family, for example Dou Shishu who often comes to give advices, and Dou Zhao's male cousins. He even helps matchmaking her cousins 🤭

Their relationship is the same with the drama: strong, invulnerable, inseparable, they respect, trust, support e/o. It was Dou Zhao who finds out about the scandals in Song family. It is also cute how Song Mo plays with his son ❤ 

During the coup, Dou Zhao stays at their summer villa with their son and Grandma Cui. Prince Qing planned to abduct Dou Zhao and her son. Thankfully Dou Zhao is assisted by her loyal bodyguards (Suxin and Sulan are married) and Gu Yu comes to help, along with Chen Jia. While Song Mo is in the castle trying to subdue the rebels along with Ji Yong.

So I just started the novel and on chapter 20. I'm kinda confused, is Dou Zhao in a dream during this part? It's like she is walking through memory lane of what happened in her life? If so, how many chapters does this go up to?  I'm trying hard to get through these chapters until she meets Song Mo 😪....I wanna get to the juicy part of their relationship. 

Lol you really start from begining?  I dont have so much patient. I'm start around chapter 112 when SM bring the baby in DZ's mansion.. their wedding around chaptr 245.. now Im in chapter 282 XD

LOL Seems like the general consensus is to skip the first 100 chapters, I was afraid that I'll miss out some important parts but it doesn't seem all that important 😂😂 I will now get to the spicy part 😆
