Wooyoung Postponed Solo Album Release for Jo Kwon




Recently, 2PM?s Wooyoung told Kuki News that he postponed his own first solo album release date because of his best friend Jo Kwon from 2AM. In his interview, Wooyoung was asked about the rivalry between him and Jo Kwon as they both made their debuts as solo artists this summer. Wooyoung explained, ?Since we are friends, we told each other that we will be cheering for one another despite of what others have to say.?

Jo Kwon?s first solo album ?I?m Da One? was released on June 25 while Wooyoung?s ?23, Male, Single? was released two weeks later, on July 8. Wooyoung stated that such different release dates were settled on purpose. He said, ?We both knew we were preparing our very first solo albums since last year, but wasn?t sure when these albums were going to get released. We were both really busy working on these albums, and finally got to talk to each other about how things are.?

Wooyoung added, ?When I told Kwon about my solo album, he said his was ready, too. So we talked about it and found out that we both planned on releasing our albums around the same time. It might even have been on the same day. I just thought it was wrong to compete against my own friend like that, so I postponed my album release date by two weeks.?

Wooyoung will be holding his very first solo album showcase in Seoul on July 9 and officially begin his solo career. -soompi

2PM’s Nichkhun involved in a minor car accident while driving under the influence

2PM‘s Nichkhun has been allegedly caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

On July 24th at 3:30AM KST, Nichkhun was involved in a car accident while driving in Gangnam. The singer was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when he rear-ended a motorcycle.

His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, a percentage where he will be subjected to his license becoming suspended.

An official from Gangnam’s police station informed Dispatch over the telephone July 24th, “After measuring his alcohol content at the site [of the incident], it was concluded that [Nichkhun] was not severely intoxicated. Immediately after the accident, [Nichkhun] and the victim were investigated by the police.”

No one was injured at the scene, and there was no serious damage to either vehicle. The police station official continued, “It was a small accident and neither Nichkhun nor the victim were injured. Both vehicles were insured, and Nichkhun has taken measures to safely return home following his investigation.”

JYP Entertainment apologizes for 2PM member Nichkhun’s recent accident

JYP Entertainment just released this statement to allkpop, in regards to 2PM member Nichkhun‘s recent car accident.

“This is JYP Entertainment. Around 2:30AM this morning, Nichkhun who is an artist under our agency had attended a dinner with the entire JYP family present, following a rehearsal for a JYP performance. After having about two glasses of beer, Nichkhun was driving back to his dorm which is located on the same block as the location the dinner took place. On the way, Nichkhun was involved in an accident with a motorcycle at an intersection in the neighborhood.”

They continued, “His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.056%, and his license has been suspended. Nichkhun himself and our company are well aware that we were careless, and for this we would like to apologize. Furthermore, we will earnestly oblige to any follow-up investigations that may be necessary. Once again, we would like to sincerely apologize.”

Oh no...I hope haters don't ganged up on him.... And I hope the victim is in good condition and not as the latter report said...

Last I saw he has settled with the other party, but he's still taking a break from showbusiness. Everything I have seen says an "indefinite" amount of time away to self-reflect

Yup...I saw it in allkpop...he will not be joining the JYP family concert...
and their album launch will be postpone until he came back..as 2PM decided...they want to promote and sing the new album with all 6 of them...they are really sweet:-)

They are sweet. I just wonder keep wondering is he ok?? It's strange to me how he's completely off the radar, which bothers me a bit. It just strikes me as odd.
