Because apart from Ericka and Niki, I think I'm the only fish out of water here and on the other threads as well :O

We don't use the word hapa but we have equivalent words, and they depend on the country of origin. For example, nikkei, nissei, and sansei are the names we have for people of Japanese ancestry in Brazil. Sino-brasileiro is the word for people of Chinese ancestry. Those are the most common.

So interesting! We also have Chinese-American of course but I usually associate that with being fully ethnically Chinese.
