Xiang Liu is a nine-headed snake and Jing is a nine-tailed fox... Then why Xiang Liu considered as Demon and Jing regarded as God??? Aren't they both animals turned humans?? Is there any specific reason for this?? 

What I observed from other dramas like Ancient Love Poetry, that nine-tailed foxes were also demons, but here Jing is God despite being fox... And also same goes to Pheonix, in some dramas, Pheonix clan is considered as Demon like other animals and birds, but in some they are regarded as Gods and have high status...

Is it era difference in Chinese Mythology or something else is the reason???

I don't think Jing is a 9 tailed fox, but has traits.  Jing's parents were deities and he was born a deity, and that's his true form.  His clan descends from a 9 tailed fox demon and presumably a deity, so occasionally fox demon traits show up in the Tushan clan.

Xiang Liu is a demon, which means his parents were demons, or he was born an animal and cultivated into a demon / human form.  His true form is a 9 headed snake.

Hey I found this interesting article about how ah nian is mirroring with Xiang liu 

Also as much as I ship tushan jing X xiao yao, I have always thought it would be interesting to pair Xiang liu X ah nian instead of killing him and making ah nian one of Xuan’s 10000 wives

Why do you hate XL so much?  No one deserves to be saddled with A Nian ... except CX, who is partly responsible for her attitudes.  I despise A Nian.

Of course, others tell me I'm somewhat unreasonable about A Nian. ;p

Regarding why Xiang Liu is a demon, Jing is a god, Kokuto has already answered: In terms of bloodline, Jing is basically a god, but has a little bit of blood of Nine-tailed Fox, so he has some of the abilities of the Nine-tailed Fox.

As for whether these "god-like ancient creatures" such as nine-tailed foxes and phoenixes are regarded as demons or gods, it is generally like this: In essence, these unique creatures born with intelligence, high spiritual power, longevity, and man-like rationality and self-discipline, they are actually almost indistinguishable from the gods (except that their true form is not human form, and they usually still have some animalistic qualities in their characters).
