That's a good point, why time would even exist in the vacuum. I guess it is to honor the mathematical impossibility of 0-time. Full time freeze is not going to happen, though it would not matter in terms of LG's relationship with JTE.  Even if time-freeze duration does not equate to infinity, the duration would still be too long to allow for a normal relationship with her.

This makes me wonder why Lee Lim would want this kind of existence. He might be near immortal but if he does not have anybody to share it with, it's near eternity of a lonely existence, a scenario that made LG cry when time froze while he was having his photo taken with JTE.

“This makes me wonder why Lee Lim would want this kind of existence. He might be near immortal but if he does not have anybody to share it with, it's near eternity of a lonely existence, a scenario that made LG cry when time froze while he was having his photo taken with JTE.”

—I agree, we still don’t understand Lee Rim true motivations. I want it so bad for Shin Jae to be his son, so it would help explain some of his actions.

—that’s what ticks me off about this show is that it has a great premise and interesting mystery story lines but it fails to use them to its advantages. It needs to further develop the characters and make us root and care for their plight more. The show needs to stop introducing new characters every episode and give us more answers. Fleshed out characters will propel a good story. Right now, I barely care for any of its characters. The only character I really hope will make it to the end is Eun Seop LOL

LG thinks LL is after near immortality - eternity. I guess LL can stand not having anybody with him, something LG cannot, since he wants JTE with him. LL wants to be God, I guess.  Perhaps he reckons once he has the whole flute, he can stop the time-freeze without needing to close the doors. And he can do a lot more.  After all, when the flute is played, "enemies will retreat, diseases will be cured, rain would fall during droughts, the rainy season would end, the winds would stop and strong waves would subside". He would be enormously powerful.

Shin-jae being LL's son is an interesting theory, though that might mess Shin-jae up. He is trying to be good, rejecting bribes. How would he take having a murderer for a dad? Come to think of it, it seems his current dad in jail? So it might not be that much of a stretch.

This series seems like it should have more than 16 episodes. I am just warming up to Tae-eul's police unit as well as the palace staff.  LG's secretary showed some acting chops when she told him about Prince Buyeong. Eun-sup is a riot, hahaha!

I was hoping the back story of LR would be like this, where Lee Rim  was mistreated growing up due to being an illegitimate son. Everyone looked down on him, even his own father. He was neglected while his younger brother received recognition and love.  Therefore he grew up with hatred and resentment that is deep to the bone. One day he fell in love with someone from the slums, and she had his son Shin Jae. He didn’t want his son to grow up feeling inferior and illegitimate as well. So he sent Shin Jae to Korea to be raised by a wealthy family. He killed SJ doppelgänger and replaced him with his son. But who knew that the family would fall into crisis and foundered. In the meanwhile, he aims to take the throne, not for him, but ultimately for his son. —something like this LOL

—I think it would be interesting to see SJ deal with daddy issues and having to pay for his father sins or going against his father.

SJ: Why father? Why did you do all this?

LR: I did this for you! I didn’t want  to see you grow up being a second rate, like me.

SJ: I didn’t ask for this.

LR: You can be the king

SJ: No, I just want to be a son of a family that loves me.

—-i agree this show should had either more episodes or should had cut down on unnecessary fillers haha

 Pranksalot:
—I think the most logical way to give TE and LG a happy ending is if TE is actually a corean. And it’s possible since I think TE and Luna were switched when they were young due to Luna having cancer just like TE mom.

I'd think this makes a lot of sense as you have pointed above! Excellent point!

Couldn't agree more! Very good point again! Enjoying reading your logic thought! ^^

Thanks for reading! Haha

 bubal:

Would that then explain why the little boy saved Tae-Eul by saying he wants to restore balance? I haven't read the twitter links nor the entire thread here, will do soon! Thank you for this @Baek In Ho!

—the show hasn’t explain the connection between yo-yo boy, Luna, and TE. I don’t understand his fascination with these girls. I wonder how did yo-yo boy and Luna meet in the first place? I’m not quite sure if saving TE would help restore balance but saving her would definitely prevent “more” imbalance. —it is looking more likely that time travel will be necessary to restore balance.

“ Also, about the tragic love end... I don't know why but I predict that Luna and Tae Eul will go along at some point and maybe, Tae Eul will stay with Lee Gon and Luna will stay with the dad in ROK? They both "get what they want" since Luna never had parents. ”
—it’s possible. I agree, I have a strong feeling Luna is going to join the good team in time. I’m not sure it’s possible for Luna to have a good outcome because she has cancer.

“ Mmmh that would mean LL is capable of emotions, but is he really? I feel like he is the kind of person who would kill his own children and descendants to reach his goal.”
—LOL I see it more often than not, that villains are like gooey butter for their children although they are awful to everyone else HAHA —it makes a villain more emotionally complex and rich, that they are not 100 percent hatred HAHA

—no wonder you’re able to use quotations, I’m typing all of this on my phone lol

Wow! You must be very good at using your phone! ^^

LOL I suppose so, thanks!

Regarding Pranksalot's backstory of LR and possible relationship with SJ:

It would be great to have a flashback of LR's life that would explain how he became what he is. Right now, it appears immortality is his main motivation. If he intends to live forever, would having a son serve a purpose?  Or could it pose a threat? Your script is quite impressive, though :) The story arc and the dialogue between  SJ and LR would add spice to the series :)  And if SJ also likes JTE and he is LG's cousin, it would be interesting having rivals for the same girl being contenders to the throne as well.

I am liking the idea of SJ having a relationship with Luna, though, and Luna taking JTE's place in Korea so JTE can be with LG in Corea. The flute can heal diseases, so maybe it can heal Luna. Or, if the writer does not like a fairytale ending, perhaps Luna might sacrifice herself for JTE or probably SJ.

You made a good point earlier, if Lee Rim true goalpost is to obtain immortality, wouldn’t he be lonely? —is immortality really his goal is my follow-up question because it was more of a suggestion? HAHA —do you remember the scene where prime minister mother saw Lee Rim? —she was bewildered and later told PM that she thinks she saw someone that looks like the traitor, and maybe he is his son because they looked so alike—I thought that was a subtle foreshadow that maybe Lee Rim does have a son HAHA

—definitely if Lee Rim does have a son, it would not make sense for him to seek immortality. In that case he would only want the flute for its other abilities to support him in his quest for world domination. Because why be only the king of one nation when you can be the king of an entire world—scratch that two worlds LOL

—thanks for the kind words haha That would be an epic love triangle. TE would be such a lucky girl to have two love interests that are heirs to the throne LOL —I would pick LG because he has diamond mines HAHA

—I’m not quite positive if I like the idea of SJ ending up with Luna because Luna would just be a substitute. I’ll be insecure all the time if I was Luna thinking the first girl he liked looks exactly like me HAHA —I think Lee Rim told Luna to kiss him to confuse LG and maybe he will take pictures and spread it over the media for shock value and to stage a fake scandal HAHA

—you’re right, maybe the flute can heal Luna! I agree I’m leaning more towards Luna sacrificing herself at the end.

In episode 9, LG concluded that LR was after near-immortality.

Hahaha, yeah, LG's riches are mind-boggling - 6 quintillion (million trillion) dollars . To think he could not afford to buy milk tea in Korea and was told to sit on the floor in jail :)

There's actually another story arc I have been pondering. It seems too coincidental that JTE's mom died when she was five, the same year as the assassination.  LR once said that SJ is the move he should not have made and JTE the move he did not make, or something like that.  Could JTE  and SJ be half-siblings?
