General Rules

  1. Any wiki page submission without a direct link source, explanation, and/or screenshots will be immediately rejected.

  2. Every character wiki page should have two main commands listed (|Actor and |Featured in), otherwise, the submission will get immediately rejected.

  3. All information in the Infobox or Content section should be factual and not based on random assumptions.

  4. All information in the Infobox or Content section should be submitted and matched with proof in the form of screenshots, explanations, and/or direct links to credible sites.

  5. Character pages should be created only for the main and supporting roles, and not for guests and bit roles, with certain exceptions.

  6. Character pages should be created only for characters from titles with confirmed cast and with officially announced character names.

  7. Character pages should not be created for characters from titles that do not have a confirmed cast.

  8. Character info and details should strictly adhere to facts provided in the live-action title, and not from the original source materials like web novels, manga, anime, etc. from which the title was adapted.

  9. Character photos should be submitted separately from other character information, unless it's a completely new character page.

  10. The photos on character pages should be only photos of the character and not photos of the actor/actress in real life.

  11. Official character posters have higher priority over unofficial images, screenshots, and stills.

  12. Whenever possible, stick with using the same official set of character posters for all characters in a single title, instead of using posters from different sets for each character.

  13. Character wiki pages are allowed to have spoilers, so do not remove them from the pages.

  14. Any text written in the Content section should be sourced and have at the bottom written like, "(Source: xxx)", listing the source from which the text was taken from.

  15. It is not necessary to use all available commands on every character page. Use only those that are applicable to the certain character.

  16. Each language version of the wiki page should be written from scratch. As wiki pages made in a different language are not connected to each other, they won't, therefore, automatically sync nor update with the information and commands used in one language version to another language version of the wiki page.

Useful Info

  1. To create new character wiki pages use this link and select "Character" as the Wiki Type, or select "Location" to create a new location wiki page.

  2. As there is no edit option for the staff to edit any incoming submission, please submit character information in small batches, in order to avoid getting your entire submission rejected because of one small mistake. After your previous changes appear on the page, you can then submit new information and edits to the character page.

  3. The main name of the character, the one that will show up on the MDL's title's cast list and at the top of the character page, should be written all at once in the Page Title field, otherwise, the Duplicate Checker will pop out and lock the rest of the page, until you checkmark that it isn't a duplicate page.

  4. To bring up any of the commands, first type on your keyboard either the symbol / or | and choose one of the available options. Do not press space after adding the symbol, as it will automatically cancel the command.

  5. To add bullet points in the Infobox section, press Enter on your keyboard to go to the second line/row, and then press TAB on your keyboard to insert/activate the bullet point.

  6. Announcements will be made for any new rule addition or adjustment of an existing rule, however, it is still advisable to check back biweekly or monthly to see if there are any new changes for which you might have missed the announcement for.
