Gay shows about step- or adoptive siblings

There really shouldn't be this many shows about this huh. I wish there weren't. Other family relations also count for the sake of this list. It's mostly China and Taiwan doing this.

I think this is a popular trope because:

a, the popularity of addicted heroin 2016

b, it's an effective source of conflict, which all stories need.

c, it's an effective way of raising the 'I want them but I can't have them' stakes. The higher the stakes the higher the payoff.

d, it's an effective way to force two characters to interact or be close to one another even if they hate each other.

e, Online amateur BL fiction is illegal in China, people are getting fined, and jailed if they can't pay the fines. If you're going to be breaking the law by writing gay shit, might as well break all social taboos while you're at it. Until recently, Chinese BL was not mainstream and did not need to worry about being palatable to those outside of their online BL fiction community.

I still really wish they'd pick a different trope.
