Quick-Witted Characters

He's a science boy and all about understanding things and being able to break them down. So of course the first time he enters a parallel world he's going to understand completely what going on. In fact he and the villain are pretty equal in their ability to grasp a situation immediately. 

As I always do when I bring up Saimdang, I'm going to most talk about the past, as I'd argue that's really what the show focuses on. Anyway... Saimdang in the past is brilliant, she can take in what happened and how to respond to it for the best result for her and her children. Going so far as to turn a field into making paper just from what she saw as a child.

Now possibly one of my biggest gripes for this show is how impossibly perfect the leads are... like they can do no wrong... but that's also what put them on this list, especially our main male lead, who can twist any situation into the lovely couple's favor with a sly little smile.

There isn't much mental battling against an opponent going on here, but I thought of this show because my friend recommended it as the dude was like Sherlock (BBC show ver.) and I'd agree if he had decided that real love wasn't real and the girl would always fall for the rich guy. It's fun to watch, even if he may or may not be proved wrong.

He can look at someone and know 

He's helped many different sports teams that were failing, make it back to the top, and win the tournaments. The fact that many of them then all disband is another matter. This time he's set his sights on Dreams, a baseball team. He has no hold bars and says what he sees, but he sure as heck is effective, and maybe along the way, he'll learn and they'll learn how to understand each other better. 

He acquires an incense stick, that, when lit, takes you back 20 years in time. The first thing he does is figure out how the stick works. It's rules. As he can figure this out it allows the show to actually follow and leads to interesting happenings due to the rules put forth. What'll he want to change in his life with the sticks?

She's competitive, and this competitiveness boosts her to a directer of a web portal, and she's dang effective at her job, looking for how to best market the portal and improve it to be what the consumer needs. 

He wants to get revenge, so finds others who have been wronged like him and mobilizes them to their best fit while he himself is out there hiding his own pearly white teeth in front of those who had wronged them and bring them down once and for all.
