  • The Uncanny Counter

    1. The Uncanny Counter

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    9.0

So fun, heartwarming, action-packed and addictive. I don't mind that there isn't really romance, more like family relationship with teeny hints of romance? maybe? The main demon bad guy is really well acted, totally creepy! Not as gory as I thought it would be, this one definitely is one my new faves!

  • Tale of the Nine-Tailed

    2. Tale of the Nine-Tailed

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    7.0

Started off great, got a bit slow in the middle, the ending had me mad because of a certain death, but overall still a good drama. LOVED THE BROMANCE

  • The Tale of Nokdu

    3. The Tale of Nokdu

    Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes

    9.0

Took me 2 tries to get into this, but now It's a perfect time since I'm waiting for Mr. Queen to come out. I really love DONG YOON IS SO GOOD AT ACTING. He has such a pretty face perfect for cross-dressing, I always wanted a guy cross-dressing drama so badly! This one gets great after ep 6!

WOW WHAT A DRAMA. Absolutely got pulled into the romance and story, the best side characters was the Queen (she's so kind and selfless) , Aeng Du the little girl who ate everything and the guy who fell for Lady Kim xD The ending was so satisfying and had me smiling through the whole thing

  • Kairos

    4. Kairos

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    9.5

So addictive after ep 2! I'm so impressed with the acting! I love time-travel thrillers, and I like that this is more of a domestic thriller that follows the lives of 2 people. Ae Ra and Seo Jin of a construction corporation. The endings  of each ep have me SHOOK

THE FACT THAT THE SHOW ENDED AT 10:34 WAS EXTRA SATISFYING. No romance, just family and friendship but I loved it through and through

  • My Best Friend's Story

    5. My Best Friend's Story

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 38 episodes

    6.5

The first thought I had is WOW WHAT A STUNNING OPENING SONG. It really sets the mood. This is a slice of life story about 2 opposite women that are best friends. So far Ni Ni's character is the stand-out one. Ni Ni's acting is phenomenal and tugs on my heart. Pacing wise it is slow, but kind of beautifully slow. Not painfully slow. I don't mind it. But wouldn't recommend marathoning this, it should be enjoyed in small parts like 4-5 eps a day. I don't think I would enjoy the story and the pacing if I binge it in one go. And I am totally biased since I love the 2 actresses so much

UPDATE This show is so addictive, I am obsessed now. I can't bear to skip a minute my eyes are glued to the screen

COMPLETED Jan 19th 2021- Could have been 10 eps shorter but it's fine. The ending was kinda unsatisfying yet realistic idk how I feel about it

  • General's Lady

    6. General's Lady

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 30 episodes

    7.5

Not the best drama out there but really solid. Started off so cute and great but I lost interest after ep 20 it got so repetitive, the ending had so many loose endings and felt rushed with all the random political plots and all of a sudden the sisters turned good and they lived happily ever after? so random lol but the chemistry was on point and the theme song is so catchy

  • True Beauty

    7. True Beauty

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    7.0

This drama is so addictive. Plot wise it's quite cliche but so fun and light-hearted. THE CAST IS STUNNING. My first Eun Woo drama, I've always liked him on variety shows but now I'm falling for him here, but I have a hard time choosing between the 2 Male Leads. Both are so perfect in their own way. I haven't stuggled on a love triangle forever since I know who the girl will end up with but I love this either way. Moon Ga Young is STUNNING. So even the "ugly" version of her is quite average to me not exactly ugly.

I'm falling for Han Seo Jun at the same time, he's so sweet. I love his squad  of friends xD

  • My Roommate Is a Detective

    8. My Roommate Is a Detective

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes

    7.0

The pacing for this drama is so good. The cases takes about 1.5 eps to finish. I love the 2 male lead's characters. The female lead's character gets less annoying with time. Her bickering with Lu Yao is actually entertaining, even though I think this drama can do without the romance. One of the best detective dramas series set in Shanghai that I've watched

  • Mr. Queen

    9. Mr. Queen

    Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes

    8.5

Hilarious.  A fun and quirky historical rom-com. Ep 5 dancing in the rain to Blackpink and twerking moment is ICONIC. I love the pop-culture references

  • Perfect Couple

    10. Perfect Couple

    Chinese Drama - 2014, 45 episodes

    9.0

Upon re-watch I love this drama even more. It's a must watch for historical rom-com fans. I loved the moms in this drama, they were so smart, loyal, and loving.  This drama is everything <3 The OST is SO SO GOOD. Amazing. Made me fall for Wallace Huo all over again.

  • A Girl Like Me

    11. A Girl Like Me

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes

    5.5

Kind of cringe, and over-the-top comedy is a bit off-putting. The chemistry is really good. It's a fun watch in between waiting for currently airing dramas to be subbed.  Not the best but far from the worst. Gets better after ep 8

Might drop/put on hold due to too many dramas and too little time.

  • The Rebel Princess

    12. The Rebel Princess

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 68 episodes

    8.5

Binged the first 12 eps in a day! Gets really good after ep 8 when she marries.  I love mature actors, they are more passionate and the chemistry is so good. THE WAR SCENES ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST. It's HEART STOPPING, INTENSE AND BEAUTIFUL. The budget is WILD. Just the armies and fight scenes alone must have cost a large sum, but it pays off! It's a 10 for me so far and I'm only half way through

  • A Love So Romantic

    13. A Love So Romantic

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 32 episodes

    5.5

This drama wouldn't be on my list usually since it sounds so typical and there are so many other ones but I started watching randomly and got hooked. It's not the best budget or doesn't have any stand out performances but it's a fun and sweet drama that came in the perfect time. I wanted to start a cute and light drama in between all my other currently watching. I'm glad I did.

Final thoughts 6/10 could have been 20 eps long max! It was so stupid at the end, with amnesia and other dumb plots. Not the worst drama but far from the best too

  • Unrequited Love

    14. Unrequited Love

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 38 episodes

    4.0

Slow but I watch on 2x speed so it doesn't bother me, the romance is natural and I like that the ML is actually a nice and understanding guy. He's smart and the FL is so elegant, considerate and mature. I like it but at the same time it's so slow. These dramas need to be 20 eps max!

I gave up after ep 25 skipped 6 eps and it's still going in circles, I hate Bai Li she's a pathetic character this is a 5/10 drama for me since they wasted too much time on side stories

  • Catch the Ghost

    15. Catch the Ghost

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    8.5

My new obsession, it's so fun and chaotic, perfect after watching the Uncanny Counter with mystery, good pacing, and funny moments

There were some plot holes with this drama, but overall I really really liked it. The action is so on point and I really fell for the male lead's character Ji Seok, he is so sweet and considerate. The bantering is cute too. The female lead can be reckless at times but she is smart and capable. The cases were intriguing too. I kept on tearing up with the scenes of Ji Seok and his mom who has dementia. Underrated but great!

  • Vacation of Love

    16. Vacation of Love

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 35 episodes

    6.0

I ship Bai Yu and Yao Chen's character so hard. The other family plotline is skippable

Status: Dropped at ep 6, sadly I won't continue, it's not worth the time spent skipping eps for Bai Yu's story!

  • The Blessed Girl

    17. The Blessed Girl

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes

    4.5

Yuan Hong is the MVP always, I love him so much, hopefully he will get bigger roles from now on! I love the father-daughter relationship and this drama looks really good, the editors and production team knows what's going on!

BUT THE WRITERS NOPE: Dropped at ep 17. (Too draggy, main leads' story is super slow and male lead is so dull like wood)

  • Lie After Lie

    18. Lie After Lie

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    9.0

Although this drama can be predictable if you watch many before, it's so well done! MARVELOUS CAST. BEST SECOND LEAD CHARACTER EVER? So selfless and kind. Lee Yoo Ri is 40? She looks 25! Beautiful and brilliant acting. I'm always impressed with child actors and the girl playing Woo Joo will definitely go places in a couple years! So heartbreaking, and beautiful. I love the main 3 so much and Ji Min's mom is the best! Could have been perfect with 14 eps but I liked it so much.

  • Doctor John

    19. Doctor John

    Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes

LOVE LOVE LOVE the main leads! Ji Sung and Se Young are killing this genre of thriller/melo-drama and intense dramas, the chemistry is so good too but I don't have time to watch since I'm trying to catch up to all the Currently airing cdramas

On hold for now ep 11

  • Douluo Continent

    20. Douluo Continent

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes

    9.0

I like the FL and think that her character is balanced, she might be clingy to Tang San but she's just as protective and kind to him. She's strong and likeable and loyal

THIS DRAMA IS EVERYTHING! Binged it in 4 days
I love the full squad moments but the girl squad scenes are also giving me life!
It has sweet and touching moments, funny moments, intense action-packed moments, team bonding and friendship. I love it so much

OH SI KE IS THE BEST SIDE CHARACTER, all the side couples give me life! I love the master and headmaster too!

  • Flower of Evil

    21. Flower of Evil

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    10

Was saving this for my drama drought or slumps to pull me out but ended starting it with my sis we flew through 7 eps in one sitting. I knew it would be good and it lived up to my expectations

    • MOON CHAE WON IS QUEEN OF INTENSE melodrama romances I still love her dramas "The Princess 'Man" and  "Innocent Man"  this one will join it in the hall of fame in my heart  no doubt a 10 Joong Ki is amazing as always
    • The amounts of OMG and screams we let out an ep is crazy pact with crazy info and revelations not a dull moment
    • ep 15 was so emotional all the eps are wild tbh but the cliff scene when he screamed "I see ghosts so I don't know if you are real" broke my heart as if that wans't enough emotion they gotta shoot him and end it on a cliffhanger too like BITCH MY HEART IS GOING THROUGH IT RIGHT NOW

THIS IS MORE THAN A DRAMA IT'S A WHOLE ASS EXPERIENCE IMMERSIVE. I forget that I'm watching a drama everything around stops existing once I click play by the first 10 mins of each ep I am completely there with the FL character trying to figure out everything, the emotions, everything is portrayed to perfection

  • Go Go Squid 2: Dt. Appledog's Time

    22. Go Go Squid 2: Dt. Appledog's Time

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 38 episodes

    7.0

Why is Grunt's storyline/ second couple the more interesting pair in this drama? or is it just me? The first few eps were SO CRINGY!  On ep 6 hopefully this gets better. I have to admit the storyline is a bit confusing since the relationship happens over years (before S1 and after it too)

Not a fan of the robot competition instead of e-gaming, I don't understand the change

I'm really starting to enjoy this now after ep 10 the cheesiness of the first few eps and confusion dies down, so happy grandpa from s1 is back!

  • Dicey Business

    23. Dicey Business

    Hong Kong Drama - 2006, 35 episodes

    9.5

Great rewatch after 14 years, still one of the best and unique plots in HK dramas!

Benz Hui's character is my favorite and Bosco Wong's character arch is wild! Really great story!

  • Nothing Special Force

    24. Nothing Special Force

    Hong Kong Drama - 2017, 20 episodes

    7.5

It has it's ups and downs, I love the main pair. Mandy's character as a pregnant cop mom and the chill but sweet police team leader. It's funny, and since the cases are random there are some good ones and some okay ones

  • My Heroic Husband

    25. My Heroic Husband

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    7.0

On ep 8, so many guest appearances from the Joy of Life series, I like this need to catch up love the main actors!

Status (March 4th):  Not Interested/ Dropped at ep 18 - Wasn't bad, but started feeling like filler, barely romance, and I don't have time since I started too many other dramas that are better

  • Threesome

    26. Threesome

    Hong Kong Drama - 2018, 18 episodes

    8.5

I have 3 eps left, which I'll get to eventually, one of the best HK modern dramas and depiction of DID in asian dramas. Aside from Kill Me Heal Me, this one is my 2nd fav! MANDY IS KILLING IT! My favorite of her 3 personalities is Mak Mak, she's so convincing, Pina is so funny and Evie is strong and likeable. Great chemistry, acting, music

  • L'Escargot

    27. L'Escargot

    Hong Kong Drama - 2012, 30 episodes

    8.0

I spoiled myself watching the ending, been wanting to watch this forever we got Linda Chung my fav HK actress, Ron Ng, Michael Miu, Michael Tse, Mandy Wong, Joyce Tang and more! WHAT A CAST! The story is so relatable since the Michael Miu plays the eldest son/bro in the family of 9, they are living in a small apartment with financial issues.  He's a construction worker a righteous one, his scenes are so touching, reminds me of my dad. Love it even though I ship Michael Tse and Linda.

    On hold for now

  • Madam Cutie on Duty

    28. Madam Cutie on Duty

    Hong Kong Drama - 2015, 20 episodes

    9.0

Watched 8-9 eps in the first sitting, so fun! The CIA boss switching disguises every time is one of my favorite things about this drama it's so funny! Little romance, but so much fun bickering. Love all the familiar faces in this drama. I would say this is more of a family drama than a cop drama, but a good time either way

  • A Change of Heart

    29. A Change of Heart

    Hong Kong Drama - 2013, 30 episodes

watched 12 eps in one go. Love the main cast: Niki Chow, Michael Miu, Bosco Wong, Vincent Wong. The whole heart transplant and then a change of personality is interesting too, the pacing is a bit on the slower end, not much action since it's not a cop/gangster story, but still good

  • The Sword and the Brocade

    30. The Sword and the Brocade

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 45 episodes

    6.0

Slow, good on 2x speed. Male lead is so wooden here even though I know he can act, he barely shows emotion.

    - I gave up at ep 17 but this won for tencent's most popular drama of first half of 2021, maybe I'll go and finish it

  • Word of Honor

    31. Word of Honor

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    9.0

Really great start with, perfect amount of intrigue and mystery regarding ZZH's character. Gong Jun is also mysterious, both are martial arts masters, the cinematography is beautiful and wow THE FIGHT SCENES are so good! I love true Wuxia adventure stories, this feels like that already. The main cast/squad is quite likeable without even knowing too much about them which leaves room for lots of storylines and plots to come up later. Music is fantastic. GONG JUN IS KILLING IT with his charming flirty self!

  • My Forever Sunshine

    32. My Forever Sunshine

    Thai Drama - 2020, 19 episodes

    10

LOVE THIS. Kao is a queen, love her acting! Mark is so good at hate to love romances

  • Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai

    33. Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai

    Thai Drama - 2020, 19 episodes

    8.0

Love the first 6 eps. After ep 7 we focus more on conspiracy and scheming, lots of frustrating characters. Mik is SO FUNNY. Sophita is crazy, and I'm annoyed why she trusts her fiance so much. Final thoughts: one of the better action/romances I've watched. Eps 11-17 was good but I grew frustrated with the FL who wouldn't admit her love for Jet.

The last 3 eps were so wild, action packed and full of great moments. The OST IS SO GOOD TOO

  • Storm Eye

    34. Storm Eye

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes

Enjoyed the first case eps 1-5. On ep 11 and I kind of lost interest? Case wise and romance wise. I'll leave it on-hold .

  • Until We Meet Again

    35. Until We Meet Again

    Thai Drama - 2019, 17 episodes

    8.0

Finished in 2 days, adorable! Some slower moments, and I got annoyed how much Fluke's character keeps crying. LOVED the side characters MANNOW my queen. Team and Win stole my heart from all the couples, excited for their sequel series Between Us.

  • Manner of Death

    36. Manner of Death

    Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes

    8.5

Always liked Thai mysteries, now mixing BL with it? Pretty good idea. Impressions of ep 1-3, mysterious and interesting. The set up for the main characters is so mysterious. So many good looking men, Inspector M, Tan, Bun, the assistants

  • TharnType

    37. TharnType

    Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes

    4.0

Addiction scale 10/10, 10/10 spicy romance, but there's too many plot holes and pacing issue (the relationship was too fast from ep 1-5) it went from hate to instalove?

  • You Are My Hero

    38. You Are My Hero

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes

    9.0

might be my first 10 star 2021 drama HOLY COW I LOVE IT. Great pacing, very likeable FL, hardworking, brave and ML is so adorable and awkward in love. Slow burn romance, but enough cute moments in between so not complaining, the romance feels more realistic. ALSO CLIFFHANGERS SO ADDICTIVE

  • 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii

    39. 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii

    Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes

    10

Kurosawa is my favorite character/love interest in dramas now, he is so good through and through, so sweet, kind and cares for every little moment/gesture from Adachi Kudos to the actor, wow ! No doubt in my mind this is a 10/10  Tsuge and Minato are precious too, my cheeks hurt from smiling. THE FRIENDSHIP IS ALSO GOLD

  • Killer and Healer

    40. Killer and Healer

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 37 episodes

    8.0

The actor playing JYL is brilliant, the mischievous little expressions he gives his buddy (the chubby glasses guy) and subtle amused looks adds so much to his character. He can be wild and angry, but the light moments are so cute and funny too. LOVE THE BROMANCE scenes but I never skip anything interesting plot. The subs are SO SLOW.

  • Rattan

    41. Rattan

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes

Unique drama, beautiful leads, just really SLOW subs, 2021 gave us so many good dramas, but among them, this is one of the most refreshing ones. Can all web dramas try to be as good? The nature scenes, and bgm is great too

also, JING TIAN'S ELEGANCE AND BEAUTY is mind-blowing, the wardrobe for her is stunning too

  • Sisyphus: The Myth

    42. Sisyphus: The Myth

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    6.0

GREAT first ep, I'm hooked, Watched up to ep 10 ppl were right, ep 11 was kind of weird, writing is messed up but the acting, action and cast? perfect! skimmed through ep 12-16, it deserved better writers, a shame

  • Master in the House

    43. Master in the House

    Korean TV Show - 2017, 238 episodes

    8.5

THIS IS THE MOST PRECIOUS MEANINGFUL SHOW

I'm falling for Eun Woo's cute moments, Dong Hyun is so sweet, Seunggi is amazing at everything my ideal man for life, and Se Hyung is hilarious. Shin Sung Rok is so dramatic, love him. I cry and laugh so hard watching. Beautiful, inspiring, fun! Will continue watching when I'm sick of dramas

  • No Boundary

    44. No Boundary

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 32 episodes

    5.5

Beautiful CGI love xianxia dramas, this is a win in my book, pacing is great.  You know it's good when I come back after a month and it's still a blast. THE ENDING SONG IS EVERYTHING

    • really got sick of this after 20 ish episodes though and by the end I kind of gave up on it, was super predictable with the whole love triangle thing but what ruined it for me was probably the last story line it got so confusing and weird like everything is reset and we have to watch a whole new drama again which is why I won't be tuning into season 2
  • The Long Ballad

    45. The Long Ballad

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 49 episodes

    9.0

Despite the messed up logic from the writers sometimes ep 14- 15 is 10/10 the child actorplaying A'Dou is amazing,Zhao Lu Si's character Leyan is so useless on her own her scenes are so frustrating to watch despite her and Yu Ning's character (Hao Du) being my favorite ship.  WU LEI/ Ashile Sun looks amazing in the mask and battle armour, absolutely like a god beautiful. The comic scenes take you out of the heat of the battle I think it should only be used for flashbacks  TOP 3 BEST OSTS of 2021 so far

    • and as much as I admire the drama team to add the comic scenes and it was cool I HATED it when we were in the middle of a battle with so much buildup then they show the comics like I feel cheated, it's so unsatisfying sometimes like the abrupt switch from real actors to comic works sometimes but other times it doesn't
    • Le Yan is so hilariously dumb in the first 18 eps  I hate her scenes alone she's great with Hao Du though  it got to a point when she cries I treat it as comedy
    • The actress playing Mimi is so pretty she reminds me of Moon Ga Young and I really like her with Mu Jin
  • Fights Break Sphere

    46. Fights Break Sphere

    Chinese Drama - 2018, 45 episodes

Found this viet dub to perfection online and started it despite not liking Jelly Lin's acting or character previously reminds me of Douluo Continent which I LOVED. I like the fun and light adventure tone here. Wu Lei is my crush of the month besides Bai Jing Ting (March-April) might even watch Cross Fire now love his acting

  • The Vigilantes in Masks

    47. The Vigilantes in Masks

9/10 wish there was more romance but still happy with it

  • Birthcare Center

    48. Birthcare Center

    Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes

    10

10/10 unexpected, surprisingly touching, addictive, hilarious and sweet at the same time. Now I'm in the mood for some girl power dramas

  • Lost Love in Times

    49. Lost Love in Times

    Chinese Drama - 2017, 56 episodes

    8.0

Watched this when it came out but not fully, now rewatching it viet dubbed, it's good (on ep 11)

  • Shadow of Justice

    50. Shadow of Justice

    Hong Kong Drama - 2021, 32 episodes

    6.5

Bobby's BACK AND JOE MA TOO, based on the first 4 eps, the quality and storyline is shaping up to be a good one, I really like the side story with the truck company girl and the gangsters

  • Court Lady

    51. Court Lady

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 55 episodes

    4.0

I really didn't like the first 2 eps, but it gets so addictive, cute and funny later since the cringy moments and over-the-top comedy dies down. Good chemistry, and once Fu Ruo enters the palace it gets better/more serious, enjoyable show good pacing for now (ep 12) it definitely slows down from 12-20 barely romance with the leads and I skip around a lot

    • technically there is no love square it's been the main couple the whole time and 2 dense idiots not taking a hint that she's not interested for the past 20 eps, I'm getting sick of it also Li Ying Ying deserves so much better, I shipped her and Zifang at first but now not so much
    • It's quite unbearably long so I dropped it at ep 40 after skimming so much
  • Vincenzo

    52. Vincenzo

    Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes

    7.0

Song Joong Ki is one fine man and also the comedy here is gold. Very enjoyable so far (ep 1-4) on ep 5 and not in the mood for it anymore, the initial newness and fun wore off, I'm not a fan of law dramas to begin with I'll give it to ep 7 and see if I should drop or not

UPDATE: DROPPED ep 7 love SJK and FL characters but the story isn't hooking me

  • The Dance of the Storm

    53. The Dance of the Storm

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 43 episodes

    5.0

WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS LEVEL OF INTENSE ACTION, AMAZING ACTING AND GREAT PACING. If it stays this way it's at least a 9. I freaking love William Chan playing darker roles filled with anger, hate and revenge so hot

    • Update the plot was so PREDICTABLE, as much as I love the romance and action it was going in circles, the boss guy is so evil and predictable, I hate the 2nd ML so much
  • The Imperial Coroner

    54. The Imperial Coroner

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    • Fast Paced, smart leads, everyone is so good at acting, the comics work here especially when explaining the cases
    • Not addictive, but it's fine because I use this drama as an in-between from my other ones, definitely worth finishing for cases alone, wish there was more romance
    • on hold until I feel better, I got sick and only wanted to watch cute shows
  • Octogenarian and the 90s

    55. Octogenarian and the 90s

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 43 episodes

slow start, what I expected from this drama the leads aren't too likeable at the start but as the story builds you see character development and it's heartwarming I think it will be worth the watch

    • the main leads are quite realistic and relatable every day people, Xiao Mei's character is really trying her best despite being forced into the position of taking over the sunshine house. She gets annoyed and frustrated and puts on a front in front of the sunshine house workers, the same with the male lead who may seem childish or come off as a douche sometimes who does anything for money but they are good people at heart. I like that the characters have flaws unlike so many other drama characters who seem to be "perfect" all the time
    • It hurts to see how real the mistreatment of elderly are emotional abuse is something not to take lightly many children or young adults say hurtful things or view seniors as annoying or burdensome, without thinking how much it can effect their wellbeing :( ageism is so real and sad

Dylan wang really pulls off the blonde wig look, he looks amazing and it's hard to pull off.

Final thoughts: Second couple (Qingxue) stole my heart but the writers did them dirty having their entire backstory shoved in ep 34 felt too rushed

Dylan's acting here is expressionless even when he's supposed to appear "angry" he's rigid and has such a blank expression, if you compare him to the other actors he needs to take notes, but I guess it's expected since he's inexperienced and wasn't in school for this, his original path was to work in airlines so ... the drama wasn't terrible, had really funny moments like the bromance and 2nd couple, but it was lacking a lot too

    • SO CHEESY and cliche I don't lov eit or hate it but it's pretty fun and addictive probably give it a 6.5-7/10

    • So I started this on a whim and totally fell for Jang Na Ra she's the most beautiful 40 baby faced beauty ever. The drama was so touching I cried in the first case, really reminds me of Master's Sun (one of my top Kdramas of all time) especially the no touching part enjoying the cases

    • THESE EPS ARE SO LONG THE LONGEST ONES I'VE EVER SEEN (1hr 50 mins- 2hrs) but the cast is spectacular Mark is my fav thai actor of all time and Kao is my fav female lead they worked on My forever sunshine which was a 10 for me this one has Kimmy too gotta watch it
    • Liking the 2nd cp the most, Tapao and Pierng they're hilarious
  • Moonlight

    60. Moonlight

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    • Binge the first 14 eps, so addictive and cute, I hate Miao the one boss (Liang)so much, he's so biased and hates Chu Li
    • I love the bromance, and 2nd ML author Jiang but ML is too cute with FL
    • Chu Li is such an admirable character. She's sweet, genuine and tries her best through hard situations, moving the hearts of people around her. She's also independent, forming her own thoughts, standing up for what she believes is right despite what others think of her. The start was a bit slow but I was hooked on the story throughout the whole thing and loved Chu Li. She isn't your clumsy dumb heroine nor is she your bold outgoing one either, I liked that she had both sides balanced, and how she dealt with the problems at work was .

the 2nd couple's story did drag a bit though, and some unnecessary moments but overall one of the better scripts in romance cdramas. Also the OST IS ADORABLE "but when I look into your eyes" lots of inspirational women too which is a win in my book

THE ENDING IS PERFECTION, I love that we got to see all the main women of the story be such badass strong women, confident, friendly, hardworking, career driven women. Love, work, and babies nothing wrong with all 3 instead of sacrificing one for the other.

Chief Editor Yu is so badass and Chu Li too, we need more women representation in Asian dramore power to the scriptwriters and team behind Moonlight, going to miss this drama.

REALLY fast paced, basically all the tropes you can think of in modern romances, but I like Lu Si so it's bearable and fun. Lots of kissing scenes, very fast paced, sweet and easy drama to watch in between other ones, but it gets boring fast

cliche moments were expected from this kind of drama, but the story really went downhill halfway, same old formula, couldn't stand it after ep 12 the most dramatic things that happened didn't make sense, writing of the script was weird, I couldn't feel the chemistry. I started skimming and decided to watch the last ep. Disappointing

  • Ugly Beauty

    63. Ugly Beauty

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    8.0
    • So much fun, the leading actress has the most beautiful face, it works as chic/cool trendy actress look and at the same time a really sweet character, the story is so interesting as well with the undercover paparazzi story and the twin swap trope, only 24 eps flying through these modern dramas
    • The leads are paired in another drama hopefully that airs soon I am addicted to the chemistry and Huang Sheng Chi is so attractive
    • The actors were all great, at first I fell for Chen Mo, but later was so hooked into the sister storyline, the leading actress did an amazing job portraying both people. She has little subtle emotions especially that one ep when they joined a variety show together, she's so good especially when they are side by side
    • One is more aggressive and bold/cruel, the other one is sweet but after she gains confidence they are similar. The kiss scenes are great, I love that both sisters confessed and pursued their man first
    • Ending bumped it from a 7.5-8

HANDS DOWN THE MOST IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE I HAVE WITH A DRAMA SINCE WORD OF HONOR

    • Pacing is incredible ep 11-13 are absolutely bangers 10/10 wild, intense, crazy. The quality, writing, characters and story are so gripping and impressive
    • Wayne (Station Chief Chen) is phenomenal, here he's so intense, and great as the intimidating boss/villain
    • Tong Yao and Zhu Yi Long are both great, and I really feel hooked/ completely attached to their characters, stories and motivations making the stakes even higher.
    • Absolutely one of my faves in 2021

    66. Ancient Love Poetry

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 49 episodes

    7.0

I don't know how I feel about it yet as far as first impressions go, the first 3 eps are okay paced, gives me love and deatiny vibes. Xu Kai as more serious is HOT, reminds me of the deep love and passion I'm craving. Zhou Dong Yu's acting is a bit forced especially the cute playful/whiny character at first, but she will mature and she is an ACE at DEEP EMOTIONAL SCENES

I'm ready to bawl and go all in for this couple, so it's a perfect weekly drama instead of binging all in one sitting. I think I will like it better than other Xu Kai's dramas so far. Budget is good too, great CGI. I LOVE THE 2ND COUPLE YUEQI (yuemi and tianqi) too bad I was waiting for her to come back but she didnt

    ENDING THOUGHTS:

    • EXCUSE ME WRITERS we just spent 49 episodes waiting for a reunion and all we get is a hug? Please release a special ep or an extra 5 mins is all i'm asking with their kid too
    • Wu Huan was predictable and I hated that she was the big bad the whole time, super boring back and forth with her and her cowardly husband.
    • Out of all this Gu Jun was my favorite, the entire cast had great acting but not enough screen time at the end to make me care. so meh 7/10
  • Qing Luo

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    8.0

I LOVE LIU XUE YI, he's so cute here, the 3 leads are great, love the kid. This is a rare treat seeing that it has good pacing, good acting and a unique premise with the single mom aspect

    • I would give this a solid 8 the chemistry between the leads were great, glad we have a happy ending. I liked the writing for the characters but the last 6-7 eps plot was everywhere not a fan of the amnesia part and all the obsessive characters, loved Nan Nan he's so cute and funny. The opening song is forever stuck in my head. One of the better low budget dramas

SO GOOD hooked from ep 1 so many cuties in this drama and the actor playing "Yang" will be in TGCF next year holy moly, OST is so good, everyone is so good looking chemistry is great to

    • Around the 13 ep mark we get introduced to a korean team and man the korean dubbing is so trash it's hilarious had me laughing everytime. It's like the korean voice dubbers were bored out of their mind it sounded horrible
    • They only get together around ep 22/23 but it still held my interest all the way through I really enjoyed this drama, and when they are together it is cuteness overload
    • 8.5/10
  • The Day of Becoming You

    69. The Day of Becoming You

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 26 episodes

    8.5

Held off on this for 3 weeks June is an extremely busy month for me midterms, covid etc, but gonna watch this in July

One of the reasons why this is so good is because the starting scene of the drama and the final at the end is based on a real story where between a romance of a writer and a idol, there's a lot of complex aspects they tackle like paparazzi, belonging in 2 separate social classes and how it affects their public life and has lots of touching scenes, which is why the story feels real despite the body swap element

The background effects are too funny here whenever she's talking to the other girl (literally don't care enough to remember her name) the "round 1.2,3 etc "and cat noises are the best, and the haaah one is so funny. The actors are so good really buy the unlikely friendship, and also their moments are filled with chemistry. Hilarious together especially them teasing each other with funny banter and keep joking aroundd/flirting since they body swapped and said they've already seen each other's bodies so they keep on teasing the other party by seducing them and it just works perfectly. Sheng Sheng's dad and Jiang Yi are so cute too

  • Tears in Heaven

I went in with not too many expectations but read the synopsis knowing Zhen Rong will die but I wasn't expecting to fall head over heels for his character. He is so compassionate, sweet and caring. The way he acts around the FL giving her everything like she's his world and I was so charmed by him so of course I felt emotionally connected to the characters and story

    • Shawn Dou is amazing here. He acts as the cold intimidating CEO character but truthfully he has his scars too and is fiercly protective of his loved ones. I know this is a melodrama with lots of misunderstandings but my heart hurts cause I like the 2nd ML so much
    • So addictive, I can't stop watching. Finally an interesting modern serious romance.
    • The story dies down after the enemies to lovers bit is resolved, the ML's change of heart was a bit too fast for me but it's still good all things considering but I just know this will be a bit draggy later
  • The Other Half of Me and You

    71. The Other Half of Me and You

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 32 episodes

    8.0

short and funny parody that actually adresses lots of gender issues like girls being harassed on the street for no reason and just daily struggles a girl has to go through that men don't even think about (like tryna get a taxi after sunset but getting hit on my creeps)

  • The Flaming Heart

    72. The Flaming Heart

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    6.0

I was expecting more action from this, the chemistry between the leads just isn't there for me at least not yet. It feels too forced right now and the cheesy background music when she stares at him in slow-mo isn't helping (it feels overly cheesy and fake)

    • Sadly the worst part is the editing, which I didn't care too much about until the 4th episode, it just disrupts the mood and flow of the story, the scenes that are supposed to be intense end up feeling disconnected and  off
    • it feels like this drama was rushed in post-production just to air because they know Gong Jun has been so popular after Word of Honor, but even if it's not the worst I've seen It's a disappointment

    STATUS: 7/24 (dropped)

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 29 episodes

I LOVE THIS, watched 11 eps in one sitting and totally procrastinated on work but worth it at least for me, I love a good suspense romance but we rarely get any from china. Oho Ou is such a good actor he's a new face for me but wow he's mysterious and makes me fall for him then backtrack and want get creeped out the next ep so yeah love it

    • I was worried about the amnesia part but nope it adds to the suspense love it so far. Victoria's acting is good here
    • China be one of the richest countries but most their dramas with a nice plot, and cast always end up a disappointment. literally a waste, the best part about this drama? The male lead actor he's so good in mysterious roles, and the soundtrack, it was so good until ep 23 and then it just fizzled out, the ending was very unsatisfying with Qian Yi's character the FL's twin ending up in jail when she was a victim too, I get it that it's a happy ending because everyone grew and moved on, the male lead served his time in jail for a year, and the ending is an open one most likely the leads will get together, but I wish we could have seen it
  • You Are My Glory

    75. You Are My Glory

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 32 episodes

    9.5
    • I'm quite happy with the first episode, was expecting lots of tropes and cliches but despite the typical plot, the execution is good, and so is the editing.  The pacing is good, I would say romance wise it's slow could be 25 eps especially the first part but their love just grows in 3 years so I didn't mind, it felt like natural pacingLol and Jing Jing is so confident in herself making most the moves first I LOVE IT. So swoon-worthy and S+ visuals

Also love the animation over the table while they explain the techniques. I love that Jing Jing doesn't know anything about gaming which is different from other e-gaming dramas where they are usually already at the competing stage, we get to see her progress and be more interested in the gaming parts

    • The chemistry and visuals of course are on another level
    • Jing Jing is a solid character, confident and beautiful, willing to learn and kind as well, usually we get the dumb or naive FL it's good to see actors act their age for once lol
Yu Tu is so sweet and kind too their connection is so genuine I love them also their smiles kill me beautiful <3

THANK YOU WRITERS for the level of detail and just sweet discussion moments between them throughout the drama, this one about the wedding and the struggle of social media but wanting a space for just the two of them is so sweet and emotional and real this is how a healthy relationship between 2 people who love each other look like. the amount of consideration and care is beautifully executed. the start is a bit slow but I still love this. The wedding with the space theme was perfection

The last ep got me bad I was so emotional at the rocket launch scene absolutely beautiful, it felt surreal even through the screen the cinematography was stunningand a hopeful message for anyone who thinks it's too late to chase your dream 10/10

  • Make a Wish

    76. Make a Wish

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    8.5

It starts off cute, but the chemistry is so convincing my favorite stand out scene is ep 9 when she saves him from the vase attack and they go to the hospital to get her left stitched but she's allergic to anesthetics

    • OMG As if I already didn't love the drama the writing for the male lead is perfection, so kindhearted and genuine like he was anxious and his heart broke when seeing her that way, he's so protective of her and it shows how precious she is to him. the hospital scene was so freaking touching Chemistry and acting in that scene is on another level
    • I love the complex male character who keeps to himself because of trauma, he doesn't really know how to communicate and open up but he's so kind
  • Racket Boys

    77. Racket Boys

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

I don't care much for sports dramas but I needed something refreshing and touching/inspirational and this is so well written, by the same people behind one of my all time favorite kdramss Prison Playbook, the characters are so endearing, after ep 1 I was sold. The pacing isn't fast, but I was very emotionally invested in the main family , I absolutely love the realistic portrayal of chasing your dreams after you're youth, A  father finds himself moving to a small town away from the city being a coach for a badminton team. He's barely scraping by and I find it bittersweet that he didn't ditch his dreams years ago but instead holds on and continues down the path despite him going broke.  I also appreciate them focusing on badminton which is one of the underdogs of sports compared to baseball which is what korea is known for. They even compared the 2, where the main protagonist chooses baseball because it's cooler and you have a bigger chance of fame even though he is a badminton child prodigy

    • And since its a small town and the badminton team basically has no funding, he ends up allowing the 3 members to live in his house since the dorms were shut down (and in comes some hilarious encounters, and an uphill battle to train them to become the best with the very limited aka no budget that they have.
    • The Rural setting makes really beautiful cinematography too

His 2 children are so smart and relatable, I love how they tease their dad about their broke life but never really gives him a hard time for it. All the actors are so good here despite most of them being younger and rookie actors.

The perfect feel-good drama no matter what age or what you're into,  I think it will draw you in from a couple of episodes if you're looking for something that makes you feel warm inside and also has some meaningful messages behind it without feeling forced. Really good execution.

  • Crush

    78. Crush

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    8.0

Very refreshing having the male lead with visual impairment, yet he is very successful I love that representation. I am also a sucker for a cold male lead but is very smart, and caring which is shown through the way he interacts with the children he teaches

The male lead is so good his mini smiles, smirks and expressions totally melts your heart and despite not liking the FL at first, they work together as a couple, good job script writers, romance here feels natural, their back and forth teasing each other is adorable

    - Female lead is a fresh uni graduate and interns at his day job teaching but I disliked her character from the first episode, she's very self-centered and delusional because she thought she was in a relationship with her best friend and felt betrayed when he got a gf but in reality they never dated, in the 2nd ep  her repeating his names 50 times from just meeting him twice was rubbing me the wrong way hope she develops more later xD

AND THE MUSIC HOLY the amount of beautiful songs like the piano pieces are so good and heartwarming it fits perfectly

BUT EP 17-19 MIXED FEELINGS about the time-skip: This was so good before now it just feels like he's an obesessive controlling bitter ex who forces himself onto her by disrupting her life instead of communicating properly, I know they will probably talk it out later but not enjoying this right now, probably will give this an 8

  • My Queen

    79. My Queen

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    7.0

HILARIOUS like scream and ROFL laughing ep 1 was okay, it was quite generic but by ep 3 it was too funny and fun to stop, very similar to the romance of tiger and rose with how the girl is a princess, and the favorite to the queen (who is her sister), male lead even looks alike and his costume style and outfit looks like him too

    • really fun and addictive , acting is decent too, and even though the funny scenes are ridiculous it doesn't feel forced.
  • Stand by Me

    80. Stand by Me

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 49 episodes

    6.5
    • I have to wait a while before I start this I watched the first 3 eps with the crappy Mango tv subs that literally called the FL "Fish" and made no sense, but based on early impressions I am blown away on how beautiful the sets and costumes are, I also love Cheng Yi,  and his acting level is leagues above Zhang Yuxi which unfortunately shows some scenes when their in together he outshines he. Romance is okay, it's the perfect amount of sweetness more of a slow burn but lightens the mood during all the political tenseness
    • As for my mini rant about this drama I get the whole tortured hero, emperor in name but being controlled like a puppet situation and he is a complex character but emperor Qi Yan's progress is so slow, you literally see him being able to do nothing time and time again it's frustrating to watch everyone is on Qiu's side aka the main bad guy, it feels like we're going nowhere and 23 eps in no progress on our side
      • MOST INTERESTING CHARACTER? YAN ZHI! XUAN LU IS THE MVP her acting is superb very complex character walking the narrow line between good and evil, time and time again she is the main plot twist character that you can't predict and no matter how many schemes she pulls  there's a part of you that always want to root for her. You understand her motivations and tbh her scenes are way more compelling than the main characters she really carries her ow
      • She's been through a lot and literally is the most interesting character in my opinion, you cannot predict which side she'll end up on. She does show kindness and mercy, guilt and compassion yet can be ruthless and betray people again and again but you still want to believe her. Really well done in my opinion.
      • This drama could have been a solid 36 ep drama
  • Song of Youth

    81. Song of Youth

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 43 episodes

Don't know how I feel about this at least it's not boring but the two vibes (funny and super serious/sad/tragic) doesn't mesh well for me based on the first 2 eps, I do like to see that there's a more diverse cast in size and looks, one of the female leads from the 3rd couple is chubby, and not your typical female lead, Jinchen is great, the costumes look high quality, I like the actors but plot? we'll see

    - dropped after 3 eps, I didn't care for the characters or story

    • Good cast and good length with only 8 eps it's easy for me to commit I generally drop kdramas around the 9th ep mark and never finish for some reason
    • one of the most quotable dramas, the type can be repetitive which is why I dropped hotel del luna but 8 eps is the perfect length for this. So many good life lessons, and complex characters. The ending is beautiful
    • "All encounters in this world are magical".

Sometime we thought we had lost direction. After many life experiences, we realize we never lose direction.
We just keep finding a new day. That there are roads in every path of life.

The male lead is so rare and precious, a true gentlemen and kind-hearted person, FL has her moments sometimes she's borderline annoying but I never get annoyed. I'm mostly annoyed with the 3rd couple aka Ma Yi Yi who keeps complaining to her friends every 10 seconds. Love the older woman younger man couple they are adorable, she's the most mature out of the 3 female leads and I love her the most

This is what you expect it to be a youth drama about 4 room mates growing, bonding and overcoming hardships in youth, romance, personal and career. Enjoying the cast. I wouldn't have watched it if it was over 30 eps, but since it's on the shorter side the pacing is quite good

  • One and Only

    85. One and Only

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes

    8.5

Stunning costumes, script and thank god for the mature character the romance is a slow-burn but definitely filled with beautiful moments of understanding. The styling is good here, Allen Ren is perfect for this since he's been married for 5 years his kindness, considerate side shows through perfect for the character of a strong warrior prince with a kind heart. Bai Lu's serious characters are so good I think they are my favorite even though I love her feisty striong ones I might like this type of character even more. Everything is so sweet despite the slow romance , you just hang onto ever gaze, conversation and interaction they have with each other

    SPOILER AHEAD:

DEATH BY DISMEMBERMENT FOR 3 HOURS HOW CRUEL, absolutely insane and cruel fate all the couples ended tragically and they died and met in the next life which is the modern series. 8/10, acting wise 10/10, music and cinematography 10/10 but the story is too cruel and it gets saffer and sadder, the chemistry every glance and little smile exchange is beautiful. Do I recommend watching this 100% since we get a happy ending in the next life and if you want to see the show as a beautiful part 1 and 2 as it's meant to be then you need to watch if for the full effect it will make you love part 2 even more. Tragic, every couple got sacrificed no happy ending from day 1 but still a wonderful production and one of the fastest dramas I've completed this year

pciked this back up from ep 5 craving a thai drama randomly and it hits the perfect spot, mystery romance and hilarious moments, yeah I totally forgot how bitchy the thai evil girls can be it was so satisfying to see our girl fight them and kick Da in the neck.

    • ML annoys me a little bit for a Deputy he is pretty biased to his sister Da and never stands up for his "wife". It's honestly disappointing for a man whose supposed to be righteous and serve the ppl as his occupation like his wife even 12 eps in gets insulted in front i=of his face by his ex and he's just standing there chilling bruh
    • I hated the 2nd FL's cringy korean all the time, I didn't find it funny but I do like the dynamic of the 2nd couple with the cold and quiet inspector
    • The undercover moments are so intense and hilarious, the only weird thing is how easily they accepted the FL's ghost seeing abilities without questioning. I'm like for a group of undercover agents who are cautious af they were way too trusting with her and how they recruited her felt a bit too easy and convenient, so yeah mystery wise the script could have been better since there was a whole cop team set up working on the case but the FL used her spirit seeing abilities to figure out the clues 90% of the time which feels like a cop out
    • CGI IS SO BAD ep 16 how they dealt with the trashy dad was so cringy
    • Romance is A+ chemistry and acting too KAO IS MY QUEEN FOREVER
    • The last ep was hilarious especially the 2nd couple's proposal with the korean cosplay and drama reference, the main couple ended up with a hilarious wedding too wearing white tees with funny slogans instead of wedding attire, a unique wedding for an unconventional couple love it 8/10
  • A River Runs Through It

    91. A River Runs Through It

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    8.5

This is one of those dramas you get completely hooked into without really knowing why. The writing, characters and friendship here is so convincing and realistic, each episode has a natural pacing it's not slow nor fast. But romance wise it is slower since halfway through and no real romance happened for the leads yet but the chemistry, support and friendship is an underlying factor that's always there ur just waiting for the FL to realize it. I don't mind at all since the friendship scenes are just a blast to watch

Female Lead has one of the most beautiful bright smiles that just works, she doesn't look extremely pretty or distinct at the first glance like someone like Dilreba but she's so charming and you really fall for her character as sweet and kind Xiao Ju. The love triangle here was brutal, it wasn't annoying but it was one of those triangles that you know who the characters will end up with and you literally love all the people involved in it because they are all the closest of friends and you just want them all to end up happy

    • But of course Lu Shi Yi  the male lead is magical. He has this magnetic charm about him that reminds me of Wang An Yu  that's literally not in the character but in the actor's personality, face and way they behave. He seems like the class-clown cool sportsy guy that banters with the female lead but when he falls for her omg you just really love them
    • Probably my favorite youth drama, very well written the only thing was  eng subbed actually took forever  9.5/10
  • Remembrance of Things Past

    92. Remembrance of Things Past

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

So at the back of my mind I went in with high expectations knowing this is one of the highest rated if not the highest rated drama on Douban in 2021 so far

    • First ep reaction it felt sad and depressing but realistic, I do like slice of life dramas but I avoid the more depressing ones just cause I like my dramas to take me to a happy place instead of reminding you of the sad moments in life but this one is a quick watch, great pacing, I thought first ep was ok but the last minute the writers had me shook there is a plot twist moment which really spiced things up and kept me on my toes clicking to the next ep immediately
    • Ep 4 so relatable with the paranoid anxiety ep talks about real issues women experience through the workplace, relationship and from being broke and walking around at night but getting freaked out thinking ppl are stalking them a very relatable fear which we appreciate them addressing
    • I do like the characters all of them have realistic struggles, the acting is great, so is the script, if you want a more mature and quality drama to watch I do recommend this
  • Forever and Ever

    93. Forever and Ever

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes

    6.0

Absolutely love it but it's the cumulative effect of watching the tragic beautiful story of one and only and I love how  fast this one is. the other one is slow-burn mature while this one is awkward, fast and cute. By the end of ep 3 they are engaged, I mean they did pray to be married in this ep so yes it's fate

    • The level of detail linking their 2 lives is incredible the script writers also put in a lot of thought shiyi's phone number 1314 (means I love you) and based on native speaker's comments the whole thing means I love you forever and ever LIKE SO COOL they could have skipped it but just the amount of thought and detail I really appreciate it

    I might give this a 10/10

  • Jun Jiu Ling

    94. Jun Jiu Ling

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes

    7.0

Very Solid script writing and main FL role, I never once questioned her actions, they seem very logical and not cliche, I like that she's mature and having her at the front and centre working her way up to revenge and finding out the mystery of the imperial family and her past is so interesting

    • Yes there are like 3 MLs here and sadly I don't think I'm 100% on board with any of the ships, I feel like there's a lack of chemistry for all of them but as characters and their background stories/ motivations all of them are solid and it feels grounded
    • I'm happy with the episodes that are out so far, pacing is good, costume and styling doesn't bother me, and the supporting roles especially the Grandma Fang is so well played and written. (She's stern, and intimidating yet doesn't get fooled easily and isn't biased at least so far, she really keeps the entire family running)
  • Street Dance of China Season 4

    95. Street Dance of China Season 4

    Chinese TV Show - 2021, 12 episodes

    9.0

As a casual street dance of china watcher the acky battle brings tears to my eyes
what a beautiful battle, and inspiration, this show is legendary and has ; legends it's incredible to watch the amount of respect everyone has for him still going strong at 47
PHENOMENAL season nothing can top this episode. Absolutely an eye-opening ep so emotional and raw with emotions
the judges and competitors, the spirit and passion that shows through the dances, the interviews my favorite show of all time . It just shows you there is no age limit or time limit if you work hard for your dreams you can go so far,  THIS IS MORE THAN A VARIETY SHOW not scripted, THIS SHIT IS REAL. Real people's journey to the top of the dancing world and whether or not you understand dancing this will make you appreciate it so much the amount of work put into each 30 sec battle is mind-blowing, the energy irreplaceable BEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN NOTHING COMES CLOSE to this

    - ALSO THE CYPHERS ARE CRAZY the judges are all required to do 4 30 second rounds of freestyle on the spot while the DJ changes the music each time to a new tune just battling each other alone is intense with everyone watching on but man 4 rounds on spot WILD

  • Street Dance of China Season 3

    96. Street Dance of China Season 3

    Chinese TV Show - 2020, 12 episodes

    9.5

I love the entire cast here Wallace is out here having fun they all have their advantages, Wallace chung is so good at choreo making use of his entire team, wang yibo comes up with the most lit and explosive dance moves and has phenomenal detail, Lay is an all rounder he exceeds in every dance category and really knows how to pick em and really lets each member on his team shine Jackson wang is known as the kind-hearted captain who picks people based on their mood, condition and technique in the moment, he's chill and everyone agrees working with him feels natural he brings out the creative side and adds a touch of fun to his choreo

But man when I tell you I fell hard for Wang Yibo I MEAN LIKE EVERYTHING THIS MAN DOES I WANT TO CRY. He shows a very different side here than any other variety show or interview I would say the same goes for all the judges if you want to see them really step up see little different sides of them please watch this show. He is a genius, they all are really such an intense show but the amount of life lessons, love, respect and inspiration i get from this show is unbeatable S4 brings the stakes but I think if you're new starting with s3 is good and then when s4 hits you will be like wow legendary iconic I love this show so much

  • Squid Game

    97. Squid Game

    Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes

    9.5

I LOVED THIS, the aesthetics was so great with the more pastel colors pinks, teal yellow, colourful like children's games worked so well with their outfits, the designs of the games and the time limit added a lot to the nerve-wrecking atmosphere.

On the surface if you explain it, it seems simple you know kid games with a dark twist blood violence, nudity definitely R rated some of the scenes with the guts and stuff were a bit much but I absolutely was addicted by ep 2 and binged it all in one go.

I love the blend of genres that Kdramas always does so well giving you heart to the story making you care and love some of the characters. The ensemble is full of interesting characters and personalities, never a dull moment even when they dial it back and show you the backstories of the character.

Trigger Warner for ep 4: A very long scene with flashing lights the concept is cool but I watch everything on 1.5 speed so it made me feel a little bit dizzy so for anyone who might be triggered or may have health concerns with flashing lights for a long scene skip through it.

Acting wise very good and shocked to see lots of familiar faces lots of big names in the korean drama scene show up no spoilers, but gong yoo is one of them and he shows up at ep 1 so not much of a spoiler. My 2 favorite episodes was the tug of war game and the marbles. Tug of war one was so intense, well all of them are but that one was executed so well it stood out for me and ep 6 marbles game was full of emotions. The cast is very solid, I like the background mystery of all the red hooded shapes guards operating in the back that whole thing was so interestesting and the ending hoping for s2. Definitely fun and interesting & intense.

  • Police University

    98. Police University

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    8.0

A fun concept with police training, bits of romance, comedy action and coming of age story. By the end of ep 2 I was all in for this show

The actors are all good I see lots of people complain about the whiny male lead but I think it's more of the script's intention to make him become a stronger developed character later and it's to show all the hard work he's been put through so I don't mind. I don't think it's super over the top. I think it works well because you see a guy with no direction in life being put as the 3rd unit captain and learns to mature and protect his unit all gaining their admiration and respect overtime.  Cha Tae Hyun is hilarious in real life loved him on variety shows, he's very dislikable here at first very douche bag type of biased hot-headed policemen that picks on the male lead constantly because he got him fired. I don't like it when professionals mix personal feelings with work. I was pretty annoyed by this in the first few eps.

Krystal as Kang hee= I like that she's direct and she sees the good in our ML from ep 2. It's a realistic friendship to romance drama not full of cliches but over time she respects him and likes him.  Even though there is a love triangle set up you don't have to worry because the FL the whole time is direct and barely acknowledges the other party.  I LOVE THE FRIENDSHIP TO ROMANCE foundation it's so strong and they will be an unshakeable pair since Kang Hee is falling for Sun Ho not because of looks or anything but his true self she sees how good and hardworking he is <3   BY ep 5 there was a kiss so.... XD shook But love it

ALSO THE FRIENDSHIP ASPECT IS SO FUN TO WATCH they always cover for each other  to not get in trouble for night roll-calls which happens unexpectedly and the leads sometimes aren't back in their dorms yet so their friends go on ridiculous missions to get them out of trouble it's hilarious and so much fun to watch

  • My Roommate Is a Gumiho

    99. My Roommate Is a Gumiho

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

Hyeri is such beauty goals not your pop-star glam but more of a really pretty girl next door chill funny and relatable person I like that she's pretty laid back and natural at acting now definitely from her experience on reply 1988. Her character here (Lee Dam) is so likeable pretty friendly but also the funny type that kind of overshares for example how she tells a guy who she met twice that she needs help unclogging the toilet xD love it
