All-time favorite dramas
Hello! If you for some reason are curious as to which shows are my favorite (maybe you found my profile and are wondering if we like the same shows), this is the right place! This is the list of shows that really left a mark on my soul. They might be different, but all of them own a big chunk of my heart.
-
1. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
Changed. My. Life. If you're intimidated by the many episodes, it will not matter. 50 episodes have never gone by so quickly. The show was so addicting and I fell into despair when I finished it because it was over. You'll fall in love with this universe and the magic in it.

2. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I never cry at dramas, but every single episode of this show had me sobbing in the best way. This show was so perfect, everything from the characters to the story to the music. The fact that the main character had ASD without it being a "problem" was incredibly refreshing.

3. D.P.
Korean Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
This show gave me the same feelings that Move To Heaven did, despite the two shows not having anything in common. The comedic moments, along with the sad reality of the Korean military, mixed with the flawless OST, really made this show perfect.
-
4. Love with Flaws
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
I have no idea why I love this show so much. It may be because this was the first "real" K-drama I watched (meaning 16 episodes of 1 hour). But I've since then rewatched some of it, and I still believe the diverse stories make this show along with its captivating humor.
-
5. True Beauty
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This drama had me hooked since I saw the first episode. The total excitement of her makeup journey, the two handsome guys who happened to fall for her, plus the I-hoped-she-was-a-lesbian second female lead made this show amazing.
-
6. Imawa no Kuni no Alice
Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Amazing! It was very mature at times, but it was incredibly interesting. All the games and puzzles had me excited as to how they'd solve them. Every episode had me at the edge of my seat (or, uh, my bed) because it was so captivating. I can't wait for season 2.
-
7. Light on Me
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Oh my god, this show had no business being this good! I was so surprised at the production quality, and the episodes were an amazing length. I adored all characters and had the rare experience of not caring who the lead would end up with in the love triangle.
-
8. Love Revolution
Korean Drama - 2020, 30 episodes
This will forever be my favorite web drama. I have no idea why this show made me fall so hard, but all the characters were so lovable! I enjoyed every single episode. All episodes made me laugh, and I hope they make a second season!
-
9. Imitation
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
This show was such an amazing watch. The one-hour episodes just FLEW by. As a K-pop fan, I also found the portrayal of the industry very interesting. I loved all the actors, and I am beyond impressed since it seems most of them are idols that haven't acted before.
-
10. At a Distance, Spring Is Green
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Despite the show taking a much different approach than the Webtoon, I still really loved this show. Contrary to many's opinions, I absolutely loved all the characters and sympathized with them all. This was a great portrayal of the struggles many youths face.
-
11. Where Your Eyes Linger
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
The first high-production Korean BL drama and it very much might be the best. The jealousy when realizing you might be in love with your best friend was thrilling to watch. I binged the whole thing in a day, and I've since rewatched it plenty of times as the movie version came out.
-
12. Law School
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
This show was so addicting, it's crazy. I started watching it because I desperately needed an escape from my reality so I just decided to try something new, and this show captivated me so deeply! So many twists and turns there's no way you'll get bored.
-
13. So Not Worth it
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
If I'm being completely honest, I hated this show in the beginning. But as I watched on, I somehow fell hard for it. The horrible laugh track aside, this show was amazing. I don't know what suddenly changed my mind, but it is safe to say that it's one of my favorite dramas.
-
14. Kieta Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
The fact that this show is as underrated as it is should be criminally charged. I can't believe how addicting and good this show is. It's probably the drama that has made me laugh the most ever. All the leads are adorable! The show is just so cute.
-
15. Inspector Koo
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
An incredibly entertaining action-comedy. "Dexter" meets "Sherlock". I wasn't able to watch it while it aired, but Netflix started airing two episodes a week after the show was completed, so I still got the thrill of having to wait a week for new episodes!
-
16. Beyond Evil
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Beyond Evil is one of the most critically acclaimed dramas, and I fully understand why. It is absolutely beautiful and exciting with its mystery. And on top of that, the amazing enemies to
loversfriends plotline between Dong-sik and Ju-won was highly captivating. -
17. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
I will NEVER emotionally recover from this. My heart and my mind are never as messy as when watching this show. The extreme chemistry mixed with the enemies-to-lovers plotline has me in shambles. I can feel this will be my number one rewatch.
-
18. Kimi no Hana ni Naru
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
PAIN! I was so captivated by this show. The failed idol dreams, the good music, the guys all being different and nice, the sweet FL... everything made me want to watch more. I usually hate age-gap romance, truly, but Asuka and Dan had really good chemistry!
-
19. Ishiko to Haneo: Sonna Koto de Uttaemasu?
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
This show made a surprising impact on me! It was so refreshing to see an Asian drama where the ML and FL don't fall in love, but still care deeply about each other. The cases were exciting and I loved Ishiko and Haneo's dynamic.
-
20. Kimi ni wa Todokanai.
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
Oh god, I completely forgot how comforting a good friends-to-lovers low-stakes drama can be. I was giggling and kicking my feet watching this. Every episode made me so giddy! And it was my first time watching a BL on Netflix nonetheless, which was a much upgraded experience.
-
21. Miseinen: Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu
Japanese Drama - 2024, 11 episodes
This is still airing, but I am so obsessed that I feel myself getting worked up just thinking about when the next episode will premiere. There is something so captivating about the leads' relationship and its "weird" nature.
