  • Nirvana in Fire

    1. Nirvana in Fire

    Chinese Drama - 2015, 54 episodes

    9.5

A drama with an intelligent lead that seeks justice for his family that was falsely accused of treason.  Such an amazing plot with court politics and heartfelt characters! It may be a bit complicated to follow along in the beginning but if you love a plot heavy story with a smart lead, this is for you.

  • Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

    2. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    9.5

A not-so typical kdrama romantic comedy and slice-of -life.  Love how refreshingly different it is from others (like our blunt weightlifting FL that loves food~).  It also deals with interesting topics like as burn-out and insecurity.  Really recommend it for those who love a more natural (but cute) love story.

  • Gokusen

    3. Gokusen

    Japanese Drama - 2002, 12 episodes

    9.0

A drama about an atypical teacher that truly cares and wants to be there for her (delinquent) students. Its filled with life lessons and makes us all wish we had a teacher like our FL in our school lives. Great for those that enjoy slice of life with a some inspiration and feel good feels~

  • Hanazakari no Kimitachi e

    4. Hanazakari no Kimitachi e

    Japanese Drama - 2007, 12 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a girl that disguises her self as a boy to enter an all-boys school and the chaos that follows. My most favorite of the many remakes. Such a hilarious drama that always makes me laugh. I honestly dont watch this for the romance, I just love the comedy and the characters way more! Recommended for those that want a good laugh.

  • Signal

    5. Signal

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a team that solves cold cases and a member of the team  discovering something that makes solving them much easier....or harder.  Full of mystery and intrigue (with a touch of fantasy). Each episode had me at the edge of my seat. The ending was a cliff hanger so hoping for a season 2~ Great for those that love mystery/crime/thrillers.

  • My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho

    6. My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho

    Korean Drama - 2010, 16 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a Gumiho (Korean Nine Tailed Fox) that disrupts the life of our reluctant ML. A cute comedic romantic fantasy that still makes me smile.  The ML can be a bit mean at times but he makes up for it eventually. Great for those that like a cute love story.

  • Rooftop Prince

    7. Rooftop Prince

    Korean Drama - 2012, 20 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a group of men (including a prince) from the Joseon era that time travel to modern Korean. A great romantic comedy with some mystery and fantasy (and even a touch of found family).  This drama made me laugh and cry.  Great for those that like romantic comedies (and dont mind having a box of tissues with them).

  • Tantei Gakuen Q

    8. Tantei Gakuen Q

    Japanese Drama - 2007, 11 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a group of preteens/teens that solve crimes while attending a detective school and becoming good friends. This is based on the anime/manga which I also enjoyed.  Recommended for those that love mysteries (that you can try solving right with them~).

  • Iljimae

    9. Iljimae

    Korean Drama - 2008, 20 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a Joseon era  Robin Hood that steals from the rich and gives to the poor.  The ML is smart and a lot of the episodes had me at the edge of my seat! Although I didnt care for the romance portions at all, the rest of the drama was perfect. Prepare for lots of feels (tears)! Great for those that like action (and righteous hero's that fight the system).

  • Secret Garden

    10. Secret Garden

    Korean Drama - 2010, 20 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a man and woman who seem to live in totally different worlds, that learn about each other (and fall in love) after a supernatural event occurs.  This made me laugh and cry.  And although it has some cliché moments - its still gives you all the feels~ Recommended for those that like romantic fantasies.

  • Liar Game

    11. Liar Game

    Japanese Drama - 2007, 11 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a naïve, truthful girl who gets  involved with a vicious game of lies and debt.  The games played are very intriguing and exciting, especially with our smart ML in the forefront. The drama also brings up the interesting debate of if truths can survive in a world full of lies. I also love the second season and final movie just as much! I prefer this over the kdrama remake. Its does have some wacky jdrama elements to it so that part may not be to everyone's liking. But for those who love thrillers and games/puzzles, this will be great!

  • Our Times

    12. Our Times

    Taiwanese Movie - 2015

    9.0

A cute movie about a coming-of-age romance. It made me feel nostalgic and warm. The leads were cute too! Although the ending with the different actors/actress threw me off a bit, it was still so good! Great for those that love romantic slice-of-life/school days.

  • The Master's Sun

    13. The Master's Sun

    Korean Drama - 2013, 17 episodes

    9.0

A drama about a woman that can see and hear ghosts.  It is a very chilling romance with some mystery as well. It made me laugh and cry. The FL was very unique and even though the ML is cold, he warms up to her eventually.  Recommended for those that love romantic fantasy (with a dash of spookiness too~).

  • Word of Honor

    14. Word of Honor

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes

    8.5

A drama about an ex-assassin who finds a reason to start living again with a man whos not all that he seems and an orphaned boy.  This is the most BL Chinese drama Ive ever seen (I dont know where the censorship went!). The two leads are so sweet to each other and I love the found family trope in here as well. Although this drama wasnt perfect (because they were given such a low budget) they still did so well and you can tell they really loved the original source material. Great for those that enjoy BL and action/martial arts.

  • Train to Busan

    15. Train to Busan

    Korean Movie - 2016

    9.0

A drama about a zombie break out in Korean and a group of characters that try to make it to saftey while on board a train heading for Busan. This is my most favorite movie in the "zombie" genre. Its full of action and emotion (tears!), something that I didnt expect from this type of movie. Great for anyone who loves zombie, action, and feels.

  • The Man from Nowhere

    16. The Man from Nowhere

    Korean Movie - 2010

    9.0

An ex-military man who tries to save the young  child he cares about from the hands of evil men.  This is one of the greatest action movies Ive ever seen (this is what I think of when most people will think of the John Wick series). I also love the family feels between the man and the young girl. Great for those that like (brutal) action.
