Top 20 Japanese Movies

A funny, stylish, clever satire on the ruthlessness of Japan's top tier prep schools and how their students go on to become the ruthless politicians occupying Japan's higher government.   It doesn't take itself seriously, but ends up doing a better job than the average self-serious film shooting for the same themes.

And then, of course, it stars the uber-talented, adorable,  Suda Masaki, so it's worth watching right there.    

Has the coolest soundtrack of any Japanese movie ever made, which features multiple songs by what also happens to be the coolest punk band to ever come out of Japan:   Thee Michelle Gun Elephant.

By the same director as "Blue Spring" and "9 Souls" and, as such, also features an awesome J-Punk soundtrack.
