Taiwanese BL

I love Aaron Lai, a Taiwanese BL staple, and some really enjoyed this series but honestly, it was a bit of a mess. The ex swoops in and daaaaamn, immediately ship him with the ex. It lost it's way in the series but it did have an adorable cafe cat

One and done for me.

Underrated short series, surrounding 3 bros and their different relationships. It's sweet, and nothing outrageous or overly dramatic, worth a watch as all the boys have visuals.  

Rewatchable for sure.

This is very soft and very short. It dosen't get a lot of love, but I think it's an underrated gem YouTube star and baker. I recommend giving it a go it's on YouTube and it's a quick to watch so not a huge commitment. It's not one I would rewatch personally but it is worth your time.

The Taiwanese HIStory series is a mainstay in the fandom. It can be hit and miss, and some of them can be very divisive. 

This first one I find somewhat forgettable, I watched it, but it was sort of meh. Short and somewhat basic. Honestly, I only watched it because I've watched all of the series. 

You could give this a pass though unless you want to be a completest.

This one was confusing, it's time travel but it has the same couple from the Stay Away from Me so you sort of think it has something to do with that but no separate story.  It also tried to jam too much into it the plot was only half-baked.

I hate the female in a male body trope HATE IT! I really didn't jive with this one either. To be fair I think they were still working on finding their stride with the series but not my thing. It was short though so not a hardship.

This installment has Aaron Lai and he is a cinnamon roll, and dare I say the Taiwanese BL King?

This is a student/teacher relationship, and while a popular trope is not my thing (too close to real life) it's a professor and a uni student, and it does do the older/younger lover well but I have a hard time getting past this particular cup of tea. Far be it from me to yuck anyone's yum but I know I struggled to get through.

LOVE LOVE this installment it's a tie between this one and Trapped for my favourite installment for the series. So soft, and so sweet omg just tooth-rotting fluff. The second couple is the step-bro romance, I know some people back away from that one, but it's comparatively mild to HIStory 4. 

High rewatch my only complaint is how short it is :(

One of the most controversial series in the BL fandom, MODC woke up and chose violence for sure.  Don't get me wrong I love the series, the couples are so cute, and the NSFW scenes are spicy (like for real, not something you should watch where people can see your screen) but that ending....we're still salty about it 3 years later. 

Lots of rewatch, but prepare your heart.

All the love <3 Jake and Chris are fire, the plot is actually an interesting one cop and mafia boss story with an actual plot and the romance is so sweet. Highly recommend it with lots of rewatch value.

This one was pretty controversial when it aired, people are divided on it. One of the couples is step-bro's, which is common in the BL world, but there was a whole non-con dimension to it and to be fair it's not for everyone. 

The main couple though I've rewatched multiple times, Anson and Charles are fantastic together. It's also in the same universe as MODC so that was a pleasant surprise. 

Watch, but heads up on the non-con and step bros.

This was cute, and it had a great concept DID is an interesting one, but it's so short it never really got anywhere. Has some spicy moments for sure, but the plot was pretty confusing and the side couple showed up for 5 min in the final episode.

Beautiful and heart-wrenching, but I recommend it if you're looking for a  punch in the feels.

Unpopular opinion; I liked Aaron and Deyn together more....>_<

REALLY liked this first season, it was sweet, simple, and so soft. The enemies to friends, to lovers trope is done well.

The second season was not as good, they didn't fully explain the time skip issues, but I really liked the side couples I thought they stole the show.

This had no business being that cute omg what a fluffball adorable little watch.

Very cute, and worth it for the cameo alone, plot it basic, but a soft watch if a little cliche.

They ruined this in the last episode. Like what was that? It was good until the finale then it lost me completely.

Oh that was so cute, soft and sweet. My only real complaint was the finale, too rushed it came off disjointed.
