The Trash that Glued Me
"It was like eating a soggy sandwich. You hate every bite, but somehow you finish it."
There are some shows or movies that, despite being objectively flawed, somehow manage to keep you glued to the screen. One such drama movie hooked me in, even when everything in me screamed to leave it. I found myself constantly on the verge of quitting, thinking "I'll stop after this scene," or "maybe the next episode will be better." But no matter how many weak plot points, cringe-worthy acting, or predictable twists it threw at me, I just couldn't find the perfect moment to step away. I felt trapped in its grip, unwilling to leave because, despite its many shortcomings, something about it always pulled me back in. It wasn't great—far from it—but it kept me engaged until the very end. This is of course a personal experience. You may disagree
