*The BL Rabbit Hole**

This was my gateway to all thing BL tbh. I didn't know this was based off of a bl  novel at first(Technically my first bl drama ,and later  novel, ever now that i think about it). I loved the characters and the world they  inhabited. It is one of my favourite shows ever. Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan hold a special place  in my heart. Bromance or not this is  a must see for those who love fantasy /wuxia/adventure stories

Cherry Magic is a wholesome masterpiece!!! It  truly embodies a universal message that is relatable and is more than just a "gay" story. The premise isn't groundbreaking but the execution of the ideas is on point. There is nothing new about an office romance but the characters are sure to draw you in. It feels very pg-13  but oh so adorably entertaining regardless. Kurosawa and Adachi are a butterfly worthy ship.

This is an enemies to lovers done right. This story really  is a weird rollercoaster ride and i can't exactly pinpoint why I liked it. I'm not a mega fan of school drama based  first loves. I don't even know what to say...other than it is a really good and well rounded story. The ending is a bit of a shock but makes sense considering the title.

You had me at  twins and  radical social justice.  I think this was a refreshing and unique storyline in the world of BL. It might take a few episodes to draw you in but it is worth it because the second half of the show is pretty good. It is rare for a show to get better each episode. 

Once upon a time there was a  crime boss and a detective... Two lovers on opposite sides of the tracks, unlikely to fall in love. This  is a nice retreat from the usual school drama stuff .  It was not very heavy and the tone was very light hearted. It was something different but entertaining overall.

It has been a while since I enjoyed a high school first love story as much as this one. It left me with complicated feelings and butterflies. There is a maturity and softness that gives me warmth inside. It honestly dealt with kind of heavy things associated with coming out and finding yourself/place in the world. It somehow managed to tackle those things while still being wholesome and light.

School dramas are not my thing in general due to the inherent cringe factors that come with them normally. This is an amazingly simple and  cute story of a loner who ventures out to find friends and gets more than what he anticipated when he steps out his comfort zone . This is the definition of a true love triangle. One of the first Korean BLs with a whole 16 episodes and longer runtime. Everything about this made sense from the fleshed out characters to the story. The show has  all the awkwardness and fears that come with  young love, finding yourself  and coming out. 

The closeness and chemistry is undeniable . The power dynamic is unequal between leads(boss vs bodyguard situation) but they grew up together and  have each others backs.  The two boys are truly best friends and eventually they  grow beyond the platonic . You get all  of the feels and none of the awkwardness of a teen drama. Great storytelling, casting and acting as short as it was.

It is beautiful in every sense of the word from the aesthetics to the narrative.  This embodies a level of intensity, intimacy, purity and tenderness that is hard for me to describe. Quite a simple first love  story but complex in emotion. I  can see why it was so hyped up...

Let's play the game of love and volleyball. The sport brings these two boys together and the passion for it extends to their relationship. Nothing was forced or rushed. It is a natural progression of a relationship from friendship to first love. I was wary of watching this because I heard there was a step-brother situation  in the mix, but that side story was not as cringe as anticipated. A well developed story overall.

We watch the journey  from a simple  crush, to blossoming  young love and the complicated  pressures of  adulthood. We see the progression of a relationship and  two very different characters trying to come to terms with their identity in  the face of what society thinks lurking. The leads did a great job carrying the story  and showing us the reality and weight of choosing to love  and combating the fears that come with that decision

An enemies to lovers embroiled in family and university faculty rivalries. A Romeo and julietRomeo story that upgrades the typical BL and addresses problematic tropes too. The leads are pretty natural and realistic in my eyes and I can see a couple like them existing. Great acting and overall story. The beginning was iffy but It got better every episode so worth sticking it out till the end.

Welcome to the world of Vlad and Karl. We get a seat to witness the dynamic of being out and proud vs closeted and afraid. An authentic and sophisticated representation of what  the confident gay vs panic gay looks like in reality. It is  truly a  nuanced, intentional and intelligent story. Every decision has meaning from the shots, compositions, music, colours etc. It is full of quotables, smart writing and beautiful visualisations . A pretty well thought out story showing a spectrum of issues and phases of acceptance. It makes you think and feel. We can all relate!

This is a murder mystery meets BL in a small town setting. When it comes to storylines this is probably a bit unique and more mature for the genre as it is pretty plot driven. The focus is not on pure fan service or romantic fluff.  It is  kind of slow paced and slow burn-ish . The Combo of MaxTul is also a major draw point here.

Oh the joys of young love...but in the middle  of a global pandemic. What a modern online  love story!  The whole aesthetic is  very 2020 and natural. It doesn't feel forced . It cleverly tackled  relatable topics surrounding covid-19 and the subsequent effects on relationships. It is done  with the right amount of humour, drama and  romance babyyyy(lol).

Tian got a heart transplant and with it came a new adventure and love. It is a unique story and premise in the world of Thai BL. The  overall plot may not be  groundbreaking but the wholesomeness is  undeniable. It gives of a nice sense of warmth and has non-toxic relationships. It is heavy on emotional build-up/intimacy vs the physical (in line with gmmtv style). A nice watch that developed well.

An actor and the script writer take center stage. After 3 episodes I put this on the shelf for months for some reason and almost missed out on this gem. This is a BL  inception and truly meta story mixing reality and fiction. It holds a mirror to the whole fandom. This subverts some BL and gender tropes while still being  a fun fluffy watch. It is a commentary on Bl without being pretentious or too serous.Pretty welll written and intentional.  One of the best and least problematic BLs. Chefs kiss

Another bl novel adaptation masked as a bromance... The vibe is kind of  light but the content not so much.  The cop duo solves and tackles cases grounded in the wonders of psychology(ie.hypnosis, suggestion, mental vulnerabilities, magic etc). I loved the characterization overall. I am a sucker for detective stories, so this was a fun watch .

If you are looking for a laugh  and light heartedness this Japanese BL is worth the watch.  This is about a boy trapped in the world of BL. He tries his best  not  to catch feelings by dodging all the BL tropes. While  everyone around him falls into ships, he has made it his mission  to make sure  his own  does not  set sail. Hilarity ensues in his endeavor to avoid it all. This was a unique and fun parody.

The kings of miscommunication but they made it fun and sexy . Japan never fails when it comes to weird and wacky  relationship dynamics in general. What a couple of weirdos we have in this here BL. I was living for the weird . I devoured the awkwardness. I wanted more in a lot of ways but it was fun. I was in the mood for this even if it  kind of made toxic look cute. The chemistry might have clouded my judgment a bit too.  I would not take this too seriously.

This was critically acclaimed and a 2025 fan favourite for most. It is worth a watch for the production quality alone. I wish i liked it more but I do hope this marks a step for more interesting and unique supernatural Thai BL stories to come.

When it comes to cute  first love stories Japanese BL does that pretty well. This is no exception and is really sweet in a pg-13 way. I love this for the purity and innocence of the characters and the overall story. It feels very animated and over the top at times but that is part of the charm. This is also based on a manga.

Imagine moving into a haunted house and falling in love with the  amnesiac ghost living there? This was an interesting departure from the usual on all fronts. It might not be to a lot of people's taste but I appreciate  the mystery and paranormal twist to  this BL. Watch it with an open mind  when in the mood for something  a bit plot driven .

Aah it is so cute! It is a typical varsity setting  but that is not the focus. It has a nice progression of feelings and relationship dynamic. An enemies(more like one sided harmless  competitive rivals)  to lovers of sorts. ML may come second to him in everything but is  always first in his heart haha...

This is a visually stunning big budget affair and this is a quality BL  in all technical aspect. The actors did a good job chemistry wise too. This is cute and fluffy with an interesting premise. It had all the potential but did not quite hit the mark for me. The plot needed refining and had too many filler episodes but it definingly  had it's moment too. This is a nice and casual light watch. This is a pure sugar fest with an amazing OST.

I swear this show is a whole Menace!!! Every Episode is a new level of embarrassment unlocked. Once you get passed the cringe in the first few episodes  and peel back the layers  you might start enjoying all the camp of it all  This show does not take itself too seriously and somehow still manages to be progressive in the end. This is a unique and refreshing watch that caught me off guard in the way it cared about lgbtq characters. The storyline celebrated queer people for so confidently. Here’s to more stories like this! This guilty pleasure is a  a combination of weird and wholesome.

Someone described this show  as crackhead energy... and  boy were they right!?!? It is definitely on the quirky side of  sitcoms and well written.  A kind of experimental  BL with satirical humour that doesn't take itself too seriously.  It plays with genre conventions. The characters were all  bizarre but charming(kudos to the actors for bringing them to life). The whole thing  quite simply borders on the absurd and  you  either hate it or love it. I enjoyed the silliness of it all. I found it strange, but weirdly endearing. Extra points for originality, fun  and general clownery.

This is not a drama series. This is a gay korean dating reality tv show. This could be a fun watch for those into this genre of reality tv.

This was one of the breakout BLs of 2025. I get why it was beloved by many. It is pretty ballsy for a chinese bl production considering the current climate. For me, it was an enjoyable watch but did not capture me as much as it did other people. I just like that the story was a bit different.

A good mini drama for what it is. The first episode caught me off guard and could be a triggering deal breaker to many sensitive to issues of consent. It does build up to an interesting dynamic between boss and underling in a gang. I kept watching with the frame of mind that this is a Yakuza story. The violence and pain is their way of life. I genuinely felt so sad for cards one of the leads were dealt and just wanted him to have a happy ending and some agency. Despite the mafia background this felt kind of cozy  and comforting  in a weird way. I went in with zero expectations and found it  surprisingly compelling as dark as it is. The premise and actors were good and it would have been so much better if it had more time to develop the whole story.

I actually like this. It is a nice and light watch. It is just a bit predictable but good enough to pass the time. A cute story of a boss and his employee at a metal works design company who fall in love despite the office romance ban set by said boss due to his own past. The side couple develop faster than than the main ones funnily enough hahah

This episode delves into the boss and his ex's relationship. It is closure for the story in a way but has nothing to do with the main couple in reality.
