TBH, I'm someone who typically avoids sad or bittersweet endings. But I put this list together because I've watched these shows, and while they're painful, they are still worth watching. The characters' journeys, the storyline, and the emotional depth are so well done that they offer a deeply satisfying experience despite the heartbreak.

These are not necessarily my top recommendations but are sorted based on my memory. Each entry includes a comment to give you a quick overview, so you'll know what emotional ride you're signing up for. If there's a drama or movie missing from this list that you think should be included, it's probably because I haven't watched it yet—mostly because I've read how gut-wrenching they are and haven't been able to bring myself to watch them.
