Fave Dramas
Dramas I loved for their rewatchability, their storytelling, or good vibes. Ranked in order of most recently watched (sort of)
-
1. Lovely Runner
Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
tells a truly epic romance that's beautifully written, directed, and acted. genuine laugh out loud moments sprinkled throughout as well. i can't remember the last time a romcom has romcom-d this hard. kim hyeyoon and byeon wooseok's chemistry is some of the best i've seen.
-
2. Doctor Slump
Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
a truly comforting drama with great messages for those who are going through tough times. i loved how they approached friends to lovers
-
3. Fake It Till You Make It
Chinese Drama - 2023, 14 episodes
a modern/contemporary romcom that hits all the right beats for me. very grounded, minimalistic approach but is also very romantic and beautifully directed and acted (with some explosive chemistry between the leads). i come back to this time and time again.
-
4. Crash Course in Romance
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
romances with older leads is super refreshing. i loved the mother-daughter relationship and the romance. genuinely hilarious and fun.

-

-
10. Do You Like Brahms?
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
as someone with classical music training, this feels more like a niche interest. but i genuinely liked it even with all the angst that felt kind of stuffy at times.
-
11. One Spring Night
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
ahn panseok's direction is truly brilliant, and the performances he gets out of his actors is incredible and gives off the vibe of indie filmmaking. i wasn't left frustrated by the story either
-
12. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
this is (to me) kind of the gold standard for kdrama romcoms, office romance, and successful webtoon adaptations. didn't try to be anything more than the source material was, and the execution was perfect. i'd recommend this to anyone interested in getting into kdramas
-
13. My ID Is Gangnam Beauty
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
i keep this here because this was the drama that started my love for kdramas, though i have since found others that i've enjoyed.
