  • Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

    1. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    8.5

This drama was so realistic and cute that I can't forget about it even if I tried. The plot description doesn't do this drama the justice it deserves. I absolutely loved the love/hate relationship between the leads and I loved that we got to see an entire community of people and their backgrounds as well. It really developed the story even further and I enjoyed every minute.

Please for the sake of romance everywhere, watch this if you haven't! It's a bit of a slow burn but it's a fun watch. There is also great character progression for the female lead :)

  • My Little Happiness

    2. My Little Happiness

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 28 episodes

    9.0

My little happiness is the best surprise I could've asked for. I really didn't think I'd find this drama interesting because I'm not entirely into dramas where the ML or FL are doctors. However the romance in this drama is seriously worth watching.

There is no serious angst between the leads, we don't have to wait a super long time for them to be together and there are SO many kisses to swoon over in this drama that I felt like I was intruding into someone's personal life. Wen Shao Qing is seriously everything a girl could want in a guy, someone's dedicated to the same girl and makes you confident that he would never waver.

I love everything about the leads but I was also interested in the second leads. This is the first time in a while that the second leads were able to capture my attention and I was rooting for them every step of the way.

Definitely recommend this drama if you need a break from the more serious, melodramatic or angst driven dramas.

  • Hidden Love

    3. Hidden Love

    Chinese Drama - 2023, 25 episodes

    9.0

This drama was so fluffy and there wasn't one bad episode. We get to see the progression of love as the characters grow older and I for one, was looking forward to the growth.

I'd recommend this drama for it's lack of complexity and coming of age. It's a little bit of a slowburn but the female lead is adorably likeable.

  • Forever Love

    4. Forever Love

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 28 episodes

    8.0

I absolutely adored the chemistry in this one. I laughed, I blushed and I smiled so hard everytime they smiled at each other. The leads were so relatable from their expressions to their actions. Their relationship progresses quite naturally and I was here for all the moments.

There is some angst and drama from the secondary characters but I’m glad none of it shook our leads away from each other.  I’ll also admit that I think there’s too many lovelines causing people around the main couple to be hurt unnecessarily, but this drama was still a very worthwhile watch.

If you want to watch characters grow into better versions of themselves, see amazing chemistry, super attractive and relatable leads, please pick this one up!

  • General's Lady

    5. General's Lady

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 30 episodes

    7.5

This is one of the fluffiest romance dramas that I've seen in a long time. This is my first time seeing the FL and ML and their chemistry is off the charts.  The female lead is a bit immature for my liking but I was still able to enjoy the drama and her character progression. The male lead is cold in the beginning but it doesn't take long for that interior to start melting.

I 100% recommend this drama if you're looking for a comfort feeling, nothing too overly complex and some mistunderstandings + drama but not enough to overcomplicate the drama. Also, if you don’t mind that the villains are less than impressionable or memorable.

  • Love Is Sweet

    6. Love Is Sweet

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes

    8.0

Love is sweet is perfect for a light and fluffy binge session. If you are in the mood for romance that will give you many laughs in between, this drama is definitely for you. While it can certainly be predictable and slow at times, I really felt the chemistry between the two leads.

It's a worthwhile watch with no over-the-top or complex plot.

  • Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

    7. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    8.5

This drama is such a breath of fresh air. You won't be disappointed picking this one up as it has the right amount of comedy, romance + sports.

I love a badass female lead that does whatever she wants to do despite what people think about her.  The comedy is definitely there and the romance between her and the ML made me smile from ear to ear. Also the characters just act so goofy and natural, it makes me almost feel like I'm not watching a tv show.

Pick this one up immediatedly if you haven't already!

  • Love Between Fairy and Devil

    8. Love Between Fairy and Devil

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 36 episodes

    9.0

Are you ready for some sizzling and forbidden chemistry?

Love between Fairy and Devil isn’t the easiest ride in terms of romance as we have to sit through Qingcang’s character progression and understanding of what love is and Orchid’s understanding of what her heart actually wants. So this drama is a slow burner but we get to see glimpses of feelings bubbling to the surface on the way to their romance together. You’ll either love Orchid or hate her until she sorts out her feelings but it’s still worth the ridebecause we get to see Qingcang become the man she needs.

I appreciated the comedic scenes, tied in with the suspense and character building. You get to understand multiple characters of the story and can formulate your own opinion on who’s evil or not.

I really loved the OST, the wardrobe, Iloved the main couple once they understood their feelings for one another and I enjoyed watching the story unfold to the very end.

i definitely recommend for those who love period dramas and are willing to wait for the FL to mature and understand who her heart wants!

  • Falling into Your Smile

    9. Falling into Your Smile

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 31 episodes

    8.0

Many people didn't care for the FL's acting, but I didn't find it an issue as I was watching this super cute drama. As a gamer, I love the addition of e-sports to this drama and I find the romance to feel so natural.

I recommend if you're into gaming + want fluffy romance to watch

  • The Starry Love

    10. The Starry Love

    Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes

    8.5

TSL is great because you get to see the bond between two sisters as they navigate through two completely different relationships. While I liked the second lead couple a bit more than the first, all couples grew on me in the end and I was rooting for them immensely.

I'd recommend if you're into seeing the growth/power of two sisters and love this type of genre.

  • Under the Power

    11. Under the Power

    Chinese Drama - 2019, 55 episodes

    8.5

The chemistry in Under the Power is AMAZING. I think by far, it's the best chemistry between characters romantically that I've seen in a long time.

I found myself like the main character Jin Xia, giddy and bashful whenever I saw the scenes between Jin Xia and & Lu Yi. I looked forward to seeing their love progress throughout the show. (Be warned, it's a bit of a slow burn). I also loved Jin Xia as a character. She's sweet, smart and she can fight on her own which I LOVE to see in my dramas.  Yes, she's childish at times but she more than makes up for it with comedy that's actually funny.

While I loved this drama's romantic scenes but I wasn't  crazy about the actual plot and the cases going on behind the scenes. The emperor wasn't interesting to me and the villain Shi Fan had some interesting scenes, but for the most part he just felt like a one dimensional creepy character.

The second lead couple will drive you insane but the romance between the main's is really something worth watching.

I recommend if you are willing to wait for the romance to build between the characters and Lu Yi's character progression.

  • Who Rules the World

    12. Who Rules the World

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes

    8.5

Who rules the world, almost didn’t make my list but when I realized I didn’t have many complaints about the romance here, I knew I had to recommend it.

While the story is not centered on romance, there are more than enough romantic moments to balance the drama going on outside of it. One of the things I loved about this drama is the main characters. The main characters are witty, smart and fun.  Bai Fengxi is a strong female lead that cares about the people more than anything. Hei fengxi is a strong male lead that only  he has only had eyes for and wants to protect Bai Fengxi.

Even more than the characters, I loved that there was no huge misunderstandings that separate the couple for multiple episodes but instead there is understanding, growth and forgiveness. Also, there are no serious scheming second female or male leads vying for the first leads romance. (Other than one character but it’s solved fairly quickly and she never really had a chance).

The ending is bittersweet but, I never regretted watching the romance unfold in this drama.

I’d recommend this one for romance lovers who also enjoy strong female leads, pretty cool fighting scenes & intricate villians.

  • Love Scenery

    13. Love Scenery

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 31 episodes

    8.0

Do you like male leads that only care for the FL and there isn't anybody that can change his mind about it?

Please watch Love Scenery. This drama was so cute and what I found to best most unique were the gaming scenes with the leads actually inside of the game. Also, the romance in here is so sweet that at times I felt like I was intruding on someone's private moments lol.

It's a bit of a slow burner but it's definitely worth the watch. :)

  • My Sassy Princess

    14. My Sassy Princess

    Chinese Drama - 2022, 22 episodes

    8.0

My Sassy Princess is a good romance drama if you're in the mood for a outspoken female lead and a stern but strong & protective male lead.  I really liked this drama and I especially liked Shen Yan.

It's not too long of a drama, which means the conflict doesn't last as long as it would in other palace historical dramas.

Highly recommend for some cute and semi spicy scenes between the main couple <3

  • You Are My Glory

    15. You Are My Glory

    Chinese Drama - 2021, 32 episodes

    8.0

I contemplated putting this drama on my list because there are qualities that I adore about the show and qualities that I don’t.

I can appreciate that this show put two of the most unlikely people together and the characters were able to make a relationship work despite the challenge. Also, I love the chemistry between Reba and Yang Yang, it felt so natural, almost like I wasn’t watching a drama. Lastly, I appreciate that Yang Yang’s character progresses throughout the show, he isn’t this super rich, mean, smart guy but rather he second guesses himself, faces insecurity and is willing to acknowledge his faults and that while he doesn’t know everything, will continue to work to his best ability. (The opposite of the perfect portrayal of what dramas usually depict a male character to be.)

All in all, I think this is a very realistic drama. Did I love Yu Tu’s career and was I interested in it? Not really, it wasn’t my cup of tea. But I continued with the drama because I loved the character progression and Jing Jing's support and love for Yu Tu.

I recommend if you can handle a slow burner and lots of aerospace scenes!

  • Maiden Holmes

    16. Maiden Holmes

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 32 episodes

    7.5

I didn't think I would like this drama and here I am putting it on my recommendation list. The irony of it all!

What really sold me on this drama is the chemistry between the leads! This drama had me looking forward to each and every episode just so I can see the couple again.

While I feel some of the cases weren't quite up to par (as far as my interest in them) with the romance, I still thoroughly enjoyed this drama and would recommend it 100000% for romance lovers!!

  • Chef Hua

    17. Chef Hua

    Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes

    7.0

Chef Hua is a really cozy drama. I mainly watched this drama because I was in the mood to see Tang Min on my screen again. I loved seeing all the food but it made me hungry everytime I watched an episode. (Watch on a full stomach!~)

On the critical side, I do feel like this drama is a bit too long. It's a very relaxing watch but it does get a bit boring after a while.

I recommend this drama for romance lovers who want a more simple drama with little to no conflict arising. There are small conflicts with the characters in the drama but they are resolved rather quickly making this an easy watch. Also there were many heartwarming moments that made me smile, you really start appreciating the relationships the MC was building around her.
