Villians, But Can't Help But Love

As the title suggests, these are characters on the antagonist's side. Even through all their terrible deeds, for one reason or another you can't help but love the character.

A good villain is intelligent, resistant, and not pitiful, they had things happen to them, that made them the way they are, but they still aren't pitiful... at least not completely. They make a perfect foil for the protagonist to challenge them and make them shine. They have a weak spot, they have a part that doesn't necessarily fit with their other actions. Maybe they just killed some one in cold blood, but then save and hurt animal. Maybe they correct a child on swearing, idk. They have a clear reason for being, they aren't JUST evil for evil's sake. Heck they could be the hero of their own story. It's a hard thing to write well, but when it is... *chefs kiss*. Add on to that the work the actor/tresses need to do to make it believable across the screen.

These villains don't just annoy you and they aren't necessarily going to seek redemption, they curl your blood, scare or make you feel uncomfortable, and they remain consistent. This doesn't mean they can't try for a redemption arc, but if they do, make them actually work for that redemption.

Basically the writing is so steady, and the actor/tressess delivered so well, it's an actually well done villain.

And most important for this list, you have to want to watch their scenes just as much as the hero's.

(They also don't have to be a dark villain, an antagonist doesn't even have to be a person... but for the most part, that's who's going to be on this list.)

    *Spoiler Alert* (picture links only)

We know Jang Han Seo (the head of Babel) is working under someone, however the show does not reveal to you who that person is until later in a great reveal. There were articles and more that told some people who that person was, but I'm going to try not to spoil anything... but if you don't care, there are links you can click for pics/gifs.

The actor does a great job of portraying this duality of the character's acting, and his extreme terrifying craziness. He has Han Seo shaking in fear because of him, and he's not afraid to intimidate others. There's time when the viewer knows who he is, but our anti-heroes still don't, allowing for fun and not over done dramatic irony, and fun scenes where the actors has to play a little of both his character's sides.
He plays a perfect foil to Vincenzo, forcing him to have to meet his mafia side he was trying to hide. Making him become a monster to destroy a monster, and it's a wonderful battle of wits and how far the other is willing to go to achieve their goals. Because our villain is so good, our anti-hero is able to show off just that much more.

Scorpion King! Oh Scorpion King. How can someone kill so mercilessly, and look so innocent and cute directly after? (Credit to gif: Trinah101)
Honestly that's the moment the actor sold him for me. Scorpion King is merciless, and quick witted in ability to turn the ticking explosive ghost valley against itself and use it to help his father's plans. While wishing for his father's love and approval, he is himself his ticking time bomb, and will turn on him if he needs to.
He is a wonderful mixture of heartless killing machine (I mean he IS leader of assassins...) and a cool, collected (and cute >.<) leader.
