Favorite couples
These are relationships in dramas that just seem healthy and supportive. These couples clearly care deeply for each other's well being. They are...just... adorable and it makes me happy when they are together. <3
I'm going to try to avoid spoilers... but there could be some. (pic? look at your own risk... (though I've tried to keep them spoiler-free))

1. A Werewolf Boy
Korean Movie - 2012
Soon Yi and Chul Soo
Ok... this one may make me sad if I stay on it too long... It's also a movie, so it's gonna be hard to avoid spoilers... >.>
Just know... there is a lot of love between these two just have a look see at this picture of them.

2. Bromance
Taiwanese Drama - 2015, 18 episodes
Ya Nuo and Zi Feng
I was writing another list, and realized I kinda wanted this couple on here. Now Bromance is a gender-bender drama which means in the beginning, Zi Feng believes Ya Nuo to be a man. But although their relationship starts out as sworn brothers, feelings begin to arise between the two. I really enjoy these kind of stories, as the guy loves the other so much he's willing to overlook that it's a guy while they were originally straight, it's just special in my eyes. Now, Bromance was my first gender-bender as well as one of my first dramas, so I could be biased, but I really liked just how much Ya Nuo and Zi Feng care for each other as sworn brothers and then later as a couple.

3. Chicago Typewriter
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Jeon Seol and Se Joo
To be honest, both of these characters annoyed me in the beginning as neither seemed to take no as a answer... (actually a lot of the characters were like that...) but once they actually became a couple, Jeon Seol is there to comfort Se Joo when he was stressed from his work or feeling lonely. She is there to mediate between Se Joo and Jin Oh as well (and boy is she good at it >.<). And in just the same way, Se Joo is there for Jeon Seol when she needs him to be.
(Sorry Jin Oh! I'm still rootin' for ya!)

4. Crash Landing on You
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
This couple looks insanely adorable together. She introduces South Korean things like finger hearts and heart guns and he will do anything he can to keep her safe. This couple is probably the most common in kdramas in terms of how they interact. Their pure love for each other is what gets them on this list. Due to it, they find ways they can continue to be together even though the world won't let them.
The fact that they are a couple irl just makes the show that much more fun to watch ^.^ (Would like to encourage people to separate character personalities and actor personalities though!)

5. Gu Family Book
Korean Drama - 2013, 24 episodes
Yeo Wool and Kang Chi
I can't really explain why I like this couple as much as I do well, but I will try my best. I just kinda love how Yeo Wool is able to accept Kang Chi for who he is. Even if he's not able to at the time, she is there to tell him he is still a good person and that she trusts him.
(I also liked that Yeo Wool can and will fight.)
(Bonus, loved the love story between Kang Chi's parents, though that was mostly due to Wol Ryung (played by Choi Jin Hyuk) (I fell for his happy-in-love-eye-smiles he gave))

6. Her Private Life
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Sung Duk Mi and Ryan Gold
Ryan Gold is the dream boyfriend for any fangirl. He is extremely unjudging. When he thought she was a lesbian, he accepted it and worked to keep her secret as long as she wanted it kept. When he learned she was a fangirl, unlike those who surrounded her, he not only accepted it... but found it charming. He allows her to be unapologetically her, and supports her.
For her part, she helps him overcome childhood trauma, and is there to gently help him through hard spots. She doesn't force him through, but lets him go at his own pace, making sure he knows that she is there to support him. -
7. The Last Empress
Korean Drama - 2018, 52 episodes
Sunny and Na Wang Shik... noSunny and Lee Hyuk? lol... NOOh Hel Ro and Vincent Lee(Lee Yoon)
I seriously love this couple so much. They're side characters, so we don't see them much, but from what we do see they are really adorable, trust each other, and are there to back each other up. Not to mention on their own they're (in my opinion) the best characters in the show (and this is coming from a big fan on Jin Hyuk(Just look at my profile pic lol)). They have their own sets of problems that come between them, but they talk and work them out. I love this couple so much <3.

8. Mr. Queen
Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes
Kim So Yong and King Cheoljong
Alright... so not a good couple in the beginning... A political/forced wedding never starts out well. But with Jang Bong Hwan coming to grips with his situation, and trying to understand Kim So Yong and those around him, not to mention Cheoljong realizing his wrongs and doing his best to right them, there are a lot of great chemistry that builds as well as quotes to pull.
"I don't understand, but I just decided to accept it. What is a blessing to others, that it might not be a blessing to my Queen." - Cheoljong
Cheoljong came to accept the differences of his wife. Doesn't mean he understands it... but he accept it and allows her to just be herself. Not only that but he also learns how to understand Bong Hwan's future speak, and the duo become a force to be reckoned with.Just some a cute pic of them on set >.<
(I am also ignoring how the ending was handled. It's a happy ending... but with different implications)

9. Run On
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Oh Mi Joo and Ki Seon Gyeom <3 <3
My current favorite couple in kdrama land ever. Not only are they incredibly adorable together, but also are extremely healthy for each other; respecting one another's space when necessary, pushing them to take care of themselves, being a rock the other can lean on when needed. However they didn't necessarily NEED the other to live life. They are first written as individuals, before a couple. Mi Joo has been successfully going through life, becoming a translator for movies. She's hit road blocks, but made it through them, and will continue to move on. Seon Gyeom is a very famous athlete, and although he is lonely, is fine with it. Both are fine are their own, but when they meet they are able to fill avoid in each other they may not have realized was there.
She gets him to love and care for himself and not just others. He gets her to take care of her health instead of the low nutrient food and all-nighters.Their relationship doesn't just happen. It takes episodes to shift and adjust, for them to learn and understand each other better, and that's another point. There is a LOT of communication that happens between them. They let each other know when there is a problem, whether it be how the other acts, or in their relationship itself, and they work to fix it because of their love. It's wonderful, there is no miscommunication that takes episodes to run out. They may not understand the other right away, but they try, and they WILL understand each other in time. This is extremely important for them as they move into their future and it's great to see.
I'm afraid I'll run out of room so I'll stop before I go on lol.

10. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Bong Soon and Min Hyuk
Ok, not gonna lie, this one seems like it could be pretty dangerous for Min Hyuk and he might get a lot of bruises... but it's pretty clear how much these two adore and care for each other. They are there for each other, and are the other's world. They are so adorable, and if you want to watch a cute couple acting adorable together here you are.

11. Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Korean Drama - 2010, 20 episodes
Yun Hee and Seon Joon
Honestly, in the beginning of this show, I would not have expected this couple to make this list, however, due to this quote, I think they they definitely deserve it.
The full quote would include an "I"ll be there" or a "By your side I will be" and I think that that sentiment is just beautiful. Seon Joon isn't telling Yun Hee what to do, he's telling her that no matter what she chooses, no matter what happens, he will be there for her, to provide support when she needs it.

12. Thumping Spike 2
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Da Woon and Hae Sung
Although I'll be completely honest with you, this is mostly on my list just because of Hae Sung, who was played by Lee Won Geun, as the female lead is really just kinda clueless in everything...
That being said, I find this couple to be really adorable, and it's really nice how much Hae Sung cares about Da Woon and tries to make sure she is ok.

13. Tunnel
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Yeon Sook and Gwang Ho
While this relationship is not a big focus of this drama (as it focuses more of trying to catch a serial killer), it is clear just how much Gwang Ho and Yeon Sook care for each other. When Gwang Ho travels to the future, the only thing on his mind is his wife and getting back to her. Their love for each other almost bring them together again, and when Gwang Ho is in the future he mentally sends messages to her Yeon Sook.
Also... Seon Jae and Jae Yi was also rather cute... >.>

14. Uncontrollably Fond
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Noh Eul and Joon Yeong
Ok... I'll be honest here, Uncontrollably Fond has a rather common plot... and common relationships between characters... but it still made me really sad... and I really did like the relationship between the main two. (It was also one of the first that I watched... so I may be a bit biased >.<)
Now, part of what i liked between them transpired in the very end moments of the drama... which would ruin the "No Spoilers" so... SPOILER ALERT i guess >.<
Now, it has been a while since I saw this drama... and I by no means want to watch it again and go through the heartbreak again... but I liked how hard Joon Yeong worked to make sure to bring the truth out to Noh Eul while he still could. And after how Noh Eul stayed by his side while his memory came and went and took care of him so that they could still be together even through the hard times... and I'm gonna stop now... :'(

15. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Bok Joo and Joon Hyeong
A similar relationship as that in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (I know Weightlifting Fairy came out first... but I watched SWDBS first, so sorry, but this is the only way I can think of it >.<) except this couple starts off as old friends whose relationship develops into more. These two are there to support each other and cheer each other on, they are there through their ups and downs.
(It's even more adorable when you know the main leads were dating at the time, and so there are some adorable ad libs that occur.)

16. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
HONORARY MENTION
Hae Soo and Wang So
Alright... so this wasn't going to be on this list originally... but I will say, Wang So grew so much due to his love of Hae Soo that I decided to give this an honorary mention. He still wasn't perfect by the end, but he learned how to love (being deprived of it earlier) though his interactions with Hae Soo. Probably a reason why, this can't get higher, though he says it in the beginning only, was that he called Hae Soo his person... Honestly lines like that are a big bugg-a-boo of mine (hence why other couples aren't on this list), as it shows seeing someone as an object instead of a being. Though as I said, he does grow, he's still not perfect, but his character did grow a lot.
