Favorite Korean Actors

More than just a pretty face; they're phenomenal actors, and after watching one of their dramas, I often look up their other dramas to watch to see how versatile and compelling they are in other roles.

After seeing his name so often and seeing him get mentioned a lot for Scarlet Heart: Ryeo, which I planned to watch, I had to see what all the hype was about. LEE JUN KI IS LEGIT. After watching him in Iljimae, I watched some of his other dramas. His ability to emote is amazing.

He is the only reason I finished that trash, failure of a remake, drama called Scarlet Heart Ryeo. He honestly carried that whole cast tbh!

  • Lee Byung Hun

Grew up watching him. He's really charismatic. I enjoyed watching him in All In with Song Hye Kyo and in Iris.  Watched some other stuff he was in and he was great in those as well.

  • Yoo Ah In

    South Korean

Yoo Ah In's a legit actor. Although he was the second male lead in Sungkyungkwan Scandal (that drama was entertaining but was aight in retrospect), he was my favorite! He was super attractive in Jang Ok Jang, Living in Love. I haven't gotten into his other works, mainly because they aren't my usual cup of tea, but I have no doubt he's compelling in those as well.

He's one of those actor that carries.

  • Ji Chang Wook

    South Korean

Loved him after watching Empress Ki. I tried watching him in The K2 as well. Although his acting was great, that drama itself sucked but i still finished it bc im trash. He's a great actor though, so hopefully he'll land a role in a hit drama soon!

  • Song Joong Ki

    South Korean

I'd say he's lowkey, but something underneath that subtlety is great acting. He was silly in Sungkyungkwan Scandal and extremely cool in Descendants of the Sun.
