My 2026 dramas

[Complete] Holy yaoi... This is my top BL of 2026. Amazing acting and production to support the great source material. For me, this is a 9 but I had to rate it 10 purely for the dopamine high I had watching this but also the joy I feel just thinking about them and reminiscing about watching this. I resist the urge to re-watch this weekly.. I still fail sometimes...

[Complete] I loved this. Ci sha is amazing! Might be the best chem i've ever seen in cdrama, it might have ruined other cdrama couples for me this year (they just don't compare to the chem between Ren Min and Ci Sha). They felt so natural. Also, the mature man / younger woman combo worked so well, I love a ML who shows affection openly and takes initiative.

[Complete] Actually wasn't into it at all at the start. One day, I skipped to ep3, or some episode around there, and got hooked. I really liked the doctor and patient storyline, although it was very unrealistic and unprofessional haha.

[Completed] Strong production with an entertaining and fast paced plot. The acting was also great but I didn't feel much romantic chemistry between the leads ,which is surprising because they' have been paired together before in another project.

[Complete] The only Thai bl i've been able to watch, probably because of the material behind it. It was a pretty damn good adaptation of the manhwa. There are definitely parts of it I don't love but it's the same problems I had with the manhwa, so it is what I dislike about the material not the adaptation.

[Complete] I haven't watched many JBLs recently and have been finding them a bit boring but this one was good! I found Zen really charming!! I think the actor's facecard really sold it for me.

[Completed] Slightly awkward. So many people in the background (who are obviously not background actors just people on vacation) just watching. Like, I got second-hand embarrassment even through the actors were acting like they were the only ones on the beach haha (they are so brave). I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm so hungry, i'll take anything from them especially after the abrupt ending of the main series.

[On hold 21/36] Picked back up after I re-discovered Liu Yi Ning (he's pretty epic). I was blazing through the first half but I stopped one day and I've been having trouble picking it back up.

[Complete] This was great for a KBL but, honestly, I am not impressed in the current BL landscape. And, I don't like the ML's personality so that really knocked it down for me. I did still watch it to the end though, that's something.

[Complete] This was better than i expected but I had pretty low expectations. My main gripe was that the acting for PYZ was bland. And! I hated the second couple, gave me goosebumps.

[On hold 2/16] Idk why but i'm having a hard time getting through this...

[Re-watch] On re-watch, it really wasn't that good but I do it for the love of the game. That game is RLZ! (I need to read the novel!)

[Currently watching 5/10] This is a guilty pleasure sort of watch but I HATE THE AI use so it ranks low for me. Even if I were pro-AI (which I am NOT), the AI does not even enhance the viewing experience, it takes you right out of the atmosphere, it is so jarring and I keep getting thrown off! They could have done drawn stills/panels and it would've been so much more immersive than the janky silhouette AI slop. Bruh, I would've preferred an oral re-telling to this. I'm crine.. this would've ranked so much higher for me without the AI. I'm impressed by the acting.

[Dropped 6/12] It's been a bit over a week since i've dropped it (at the time of me writing this) and I've concluded that it is forgettable. I really... don't remember enough..to comment...

[Dropped 21/40] Was watching this for Ren Min but I'm not really enjoying the dynamic between the leads. When I watch this, all I want to do is go back and re-watch 'A Splendid Match'.

[Dropped 10/12] I was excited for this one but I got really bored from episode 7 or 8.
