Fluffshi's List of Obsessive ML's

This is a list of Obsessive/Possessive ML's in Asian Dramas. These are from the dramas that Fluffshi has watched and not dropped, watched fully and this list does not go of tags. This is her opinion on the dramas that she saw and thought had possessive/obsessives ML's and will not add requests, additionally Fluffshi will open up a voting list, if you want to add dramas in the voting list, there is a chance I may watch the dramas that are voted for and added, if I feel like the ML in that drama which is added in the voting list, is obsessive it will go on the list. This is for an article and this is research. That is the voting list which is part of. These do not go by tags, and are accurate at least in Fluffshi's opinion. Please feel free to reach out and comment, I will not take DM's on any list. Thank you! (There will be a ranking and short synopsis of why I think they are obsessive/possessive)  UNCOMPLETED WILL COMPLETE LATER BY 2/31/2022

  • Flower of Evil

    1. Flower of Evil

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

He is not possessive because there isn't a jealously scene. He is obsessive for her and does not know his own feelings, he almost got a heart attack when he almost thought he lost her. He fell in love with her very quickly, she loves him very much but he is one that hides his feelings. He is a person who doesn't know love but doesn't know that his so called obsession is his love, because without her this man doesn't know what to do. He loves her very much and would take a bullet or take someone's life for her and to stay by her side.

    Toxicness- 7.5

    Healthy Relationship-8

    Possessiveness- Unknown

    Obsession Level-10

Overall my rating for whole drama: 1000000/10 (One of Fluffshi's favorites)

  • Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai

    2. Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai

    Thai Drama - 2020, 19 episodes

    10

He is obsessive, attracted very early on, possessive and also maybe a control freak because of the control freak FL. Despite that he is very different from other Thai ML's he is a gentleman when he needs to be, he doesn't force the FL, and he takes care of her and never loses sight for her. He loves her so much, that he would tens and thousands of bullets for her, and despite how she acts he would still take her in if she gave one kiss to him. Despite it being a slight slap and kiss, and some of his actions are a bit toxic, he is still different I love this ML and though maybe I wouldn't want to be stuck in a situation like this with him, he is still a great ML. Talking about obsessive though yeah he is.

Toxicness- 8.5 (It's the base of the lakorn come on)

Healthy Relationship- 1( at the start {I mean trying to kill each other come on} at the ending: 8.5)

Possessiveness- 10 (yeah, he beat up some men for her, no biggie)

    Obsession Level- 10

Overall my rating, great chemistry being different than all other lakorns, this one is a 9.5 in my books just trust me you won't regret this lakorn. This is my favorite lakorn.

  • My Lovely Sam Soon

    3. My Lovely Sam Soon

    Korean Drama - 2005, 16 episodes

    9.5

He is a typical jerk ML, who is slow to feelings, accepting them and is put in a dilemma despite all of that he cannot stop being obsessive over the FL, makes a blind date guy cry three times, and did beat up some men for her. He is possessive, leads on the FL, and is obsessive and all in all a typical jerk ML, of the golden times. Stay for Sam soon though, she can put him in a head hold so it's all great and fine.

    Toxicness- 9.0

    Healthy Relationship- 3.0

    Possessiveness- 10

    Obsessiveness- 10

Still one of my classic favorites because of non typical female lead, and plus it's a classic I have a soft spot, okay so a 10? LOL

  • Thong EK: The Herbal Master

    4. Thong EK: The Herbal Master

    Thai Drama - 2019, 14 episodes

Example of Healthy Jealously, not toxic and not much possessive. He is not obsessive but he is possessive but this is a part of healthy jealously, and the female lead also shows signs of possessiveness,  a healthy relationship along with a funny one at that.

    Toxicness- 2

    Healthy Relationship- 10

    Possessiveness- 8.5

    Obsessive  Level- 6.5

Overall rating: 10/10 for whole drama, one of Fluffshi's favorite Thai Lakorn.

  • The Prince Who Turns into a Frog

    5. The Prince Who Turns into a Frog

    Taiwanese Drama - 2005, 20 episodes

All versions, he loves his female lead and even when his memory is lost and he acts like a total jerk, man has a soft spot and also possessive spot. His alter ego (nice guy ML, Dang Hao) is not that possessive but he is obsessive in a cute type of way. His normal ego, (rude guy ML) is possessive, condescending, obsessives to a certain level annoying but bearable, once he falls in love again though, his obsession and his possessiveness are cute. It's not as toxic as other early time classic Asian dramas out there.

    Toxicness- 6.5

    Healthy Relationship- 5.5

    Possessiveness- 8.5

    Obsessiveness- 9

Despite all of this one of my favorite classics so I will give it an 10/10, overally.

  • A Little Thing Called First Love

    6. A Little Thing Called First Love

    Chinese Drama - 2019, 36 episodes

    8.0

Awwww cute, our male lead is a nice guy who is quiet, knows his feelings. He is possessive and jealous, and their relationship is great, just that he is a bit slow on acting on his feelings. He is sweet and a high school romance should go like this but not like playful kiss.

    Toxicness- 4.5

Healthy Relationship- 7.5 (it is healthy but you'll understand)

    Possessiveness- 9

    Obsessiveness- 8.5

Cute, did bore me but I did love it and was looking forward to episodes when it aired, so a 8.0.

  • Playful Kiss

    7. Playful Kiss

    Korean Drama - 2010, 16 episodes

    2.5

Sigh, she is the one obsessed but he is also possessive in a jerky way. I hated this, it was a 10 for me when I was a child (ahem 13 Ig), if you like this drama, just re-watch it one more time... LOL.

He likes her, has an IQ, gets jealous, but not obsessive. He is confused and calm and sometimes I like calm male leads makes me relaxed but at this point that is plain jerky, not rational, and annoying.

Toxicness- 10 (You'll understand if you watched, if you didn't watch yet and your above 15 then just don't watch it's a waste of time, instead watch My Family Strange for Jung So Min and for Park Hyun Joong any other of his drama its a favor to yourself, if you want to watch this with the same storyline try the Thai or Japanese one out, it's better ones with the storyline)

    Healthy relationship- 2

    Possessiveness- 10

    Obsessiveness- 0.5

My rating is 2.5 just be rational and trust me.

  • What's Wrong with Secretary Kim

    8. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim

    Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes

Yes, this man is possessive and obsessive. Narcissistic, typical rich and rude, but he is not hateable, he is not annoying honestly he is cute and man the couple does have great chemistry,

    Toxicness- 5

    Healthy Relationship- 6

Possessiveness- 11.55 (I'm extra and you like that)

Narcissistic- yes and for all the right reasons.

    Obsessiveness- 11.55

9 for great chemistry, character development, no love triangles and pretty cute a rom com that I wouldn't mind rewatching once I was out of serious dramas)

  • Suspicious Partner

    9. Suspicious Partner

    Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes

There is not much toxic elements to the drama but he is possessive.

    Toxic level- 5

    Healthy relationship- 6

    Possessiveness- 9

    Obsessiveness- 5

Total: 8.5 for some plot holes and the main leads chemistry was on fire.
