Born in Tokyo and raised in Yokohama , Kanagawa .

On the night of January 5, 1989, while riding a motorcycle from Aoba Ward in Yokohama City to Asao Ward in Kawasaki City , he crash into with a junior high school girl who had crossed the road. At that time he lost his balance, and also crashed to another vehicle. He died on 23 January 1989, due to injures. But his family, blamed the hospital for his death, and went to a dispute with the hospital, which ended up with the lawsuit, towards it.

Even though he wasn't prosecuted, Takahashi had committed unlicensed driving , so all of the appearance scenes were cut in the "omnibus" broadcast of the appearance drama " Lady Kasuga " recorded before the accident . Also, his pre-filmed project, ended up, in a unknown status to this day.
