He made his debut as a commercial model in 2013 for several brands. He then made his acting debut with a support role in the webdrama "Webtoon Hero - Tundra Show" (웹툰히어로 툰드라쇼).
He was represented by Starhaus Entertainment (스타하우스 엔터테인먼트) and the company decided to launch a project group called ONE O ONE (원오원) made up of 4 actors (Ahn Hyo Seop, Kwak Shi Yang, Go Wook and him). They debuted in October 2015 with the digital single "Love You" and released a few more singles until going inactive since mid-2017.
He is currently represented by DI Entertainment (디아이엔터테인먼트).
