He joined CRYING NUT in 1993 as the main vocalist and guitarist when they started performing in nightclubs and small festivals. In 1995, they entered the Hongdae club scene in Seoul.
In 1998, they released their first album, "Speed Up Losers", and slowly became a household name in South Korea as one of the founders of Joseon Punk, a style that incorporates foreign genres while still reflecting their inherent Korean heritage. They are managed by Drug Records (드럭 레코드).
He also joined the ska band Monkey Gang War as the main guitarist, along with musicians from other indie/punk bands.
