Kang Ji Young is a South Korean announcer. She moved to the United States since middle school and later graduated from Monta Vista High School in California before obtaining a bachelor's degree in Finance from Indiana University. She made her debut in 2011 when she competed in MBC's "New Recruit" where she ended in 8th place. As a result, she was chosen as part of the 1st special recruitment for announcers at JTBC. In 2013, she was moved to the network's political news desk and immediately began gaining popularity for her confidence while interviewing political figures. She has also been part of the entertainment news team and has hosted a few social affairs and cultural programs. In 2022, she became the sole host of JTBC's Newsroom Weekend.
