Lee Hyun Joo is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress and former member of APRIL (에이프릴). She graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School and is enrolled in the Media Visual Acting program at Sungshin Women's University.

She made her debut in August 2015 as APRIL's vocalist, lead dancer and visual with their first EP, "Dreaming". The group had a few lineup changes right from the beginning, losing leader Jun So Min, who felt uncomfortable with the group's concept and left to join KARD. After their second EP, "Spring", health issues began affecting her performances, and she decided to take a break to rest. In late 2016, it was announced that she was leaving APRIL in order to pursue an acting career, debuting with a role in the drama "Momin's Room" just a few weeks after departing the group.

In 2017, she joined the singing survival show "The Unit" and finished in 5th place, thus securing a spot in the temporary project group, UNI.T (유니티). She re-debuted in May 2018 as the group's vocalist and visual with their first mini-album, "Line". However, PocketDol Studio (포켓돌스튜디오) could not reach an agreement to extend the project, and they disbanded in October 2018. She returned to her acting career.

Controversy emerged when, in early 2021, a person claiming to be her brother posted several accusations against the other APRIL members, claiming his sister's departure was due to being severely bullied by them, at one point even attempting suicide. The company, DSP Media, immediately denied the accusations and promised to take legal action against her and her brother. However, the group faced heavy backlash and began losing scheduled events, endorsement deals and even acting roles.

A few months later, she posted a message on her IG backing the claims and accusations against her former groupmates, and she also stated that the company was not allowing her to terminate the exclusive contract. APRIL finally disbanded in 2022 and has been able to focus on her acting career.

She is currently not represented by any agency and works as an independent artist.
