In 2021, Athena attended a K-POP dance academy in Sweden for about three years starting at the age of fourteen. In late 2023, she attended the Korean Culture Festival held in Stockholm and appeared on YTN News. Her presence impressed Attrakt (어트랙트) executives who offered her a chance to become a trainee. They let her train for four weeks to see if she would like it and, to everyone's surprise, she ranked 1st in the agency's monthly evaluation, so she decided to continue.
In August 2024, she was announced as one of FIFTY FIFTY's new members. The next month, she debuted as the group's new vocalist, visual and maknae with the mini album “Love Tune.”
