Shin On Yu is a South Korean singer-songwriter and member of SHIN IN RYU (신인류). She graduated from Dong-Ah Broadcasting Arts University with an associate's degree in Applied Music.

In 2018, she joined 4 other college classmates to form the rock/alternative co-ed band SHIN IN RYU. They debuted later that year with the single "Your Word" and with her as the leader and vocalist.

Then, in June 2020, she suddenly announced the disbandment of the band as she was preparing other music projects. She joined another university classmate and formed the duo SHIN ON YU & KIM KANG (신온유와 김강) and, in February 2021, she became part of the folk/indie band SMALL PEACE (작은평화) as their new vocalist.

In June 2022, she announced the return of SHIN IN RYU, now as a trio, and represented by Rafters.
