Son Young Taek, known professionally as Universe, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and former member of I.D and GOLDEN CHILD (골든차일드). He graduated from Hanlim Arts High School and lived in Japan for several years.

He made his debut sometime in 2013 as part of I.D. The group did not receive much attention and promoted almost entirely in Japan. Sometime in 2014, the agency, KeyEast (키이스트), decided to disband the group.

He switched agencies after returning to South Korea, and he re-debuted in August 2017 (using the stage name TAG) as GOLDEN CHILD's main rapper and vocalist with their first EP, "Gol-Cha!" and enjoyed initial success in the South Korean and Japanese markets. In January 2022, they debuted in Japan with the single "A Woo!!" and their agency, Woollim Entertainment (울림엔터테인먼트), began planning for them to gain more international exposure through concert tours in the US and Europe.

In May 2022, Woollim announced that he halted all activities with the group as he faced a liver illness and was admitted to the hospital for further analyses. A month later, the agency announced that he was re-joining the group and was healthy. However, the doctors did not allow him to travel abroad, so he joined only for domestic performances.

In August 2024, he decided not to renew his contract with the agency and, as a result, left the group. After spending some time out of the industry, he returned in May 2026, now using the stage name Universe, as a solo artist and producer with his first mini-album "The So-Called Luck".
