Justin Chien is a Taiwanese actor born in Taipei, Taiwan. His father Carl Chien is a prominent businessman and banker who serves as the Asia-Pacific vice-chairman and Taiwan CEO at J.P. Morgan. His grandfather, Fredrick Chien, is a Taiwanese diplomat and politician. Justin spent his childhood in Hong Kong. It was during this time that he participated in a play at his church and he first discovered his love of acting. He attended Taipei American School and later moved to the US, where he obtained his BFA from the USC School of Dramatic Arts.

Justin started his acting career starring in short films. His first major on-screen role was in TV show Two Sides: Unfaithful, but his big break came when he landed the role of Charles Sun in Netflix series "The Brothers Sun" in 2024. The action comedy let Chien’s years of training in martial arts shine on screen with over a decade of experience in Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu.
